Worth the wait 100%. Best chicken Katsu I've ever had, and everything else is top notch. We drive 25 minutes to get here and it's worth it every time.

Great food, friendly staff (if you aren't preoccupied on your phone), and great food. I grabbed the garlic shrimp/hurikane chicken combo. Great food with generous portions, my photos do not do it justice. Be prepared for a wait, and don't be on your phone at the front of the line.
I will be back again for a different meat selection, might bring a friend and go Kanaka Nui.

GOOD FOOD. 👍🏻
I can not recommend this place enough. If you show up at 12:30 expecting to get food you will be in for a surprise. Come early and expect to stand in line.

I had heard about Hina’s for a while but hadn’t allocated the time to go. The food, and customer service was phenomenal! Will be coming back regularly

Ok.. so I just ate here for the first time and im kicking myself for not making it happen sooner. First of all, the food is delicious! Second, it was really quick to get my order. And 3rd the person working there was super cool.
There's a few things I need to say:
1.If more food places on the west side of the river were like Hina's, nobody would drive to Portland east side for food.
2. Hina's puts the MAC in SMACKDOWN, because out of all the Hawaiian food joints in town, Hina's mac salad actually has flavor, and a decent ingredient list- I saw egg and finely diced carrot in there. Everywhere else is a huge disappointment in this department.
3. I honestly don't want to ever go to a Roxys again now that I know Hina's is here.
4. The food portion was absolutely out of control and that is 100% the way to go
Hina's island grindz is top dog for Hawaiian in portland metro. Like the terminator, ill be back 🤙🏼

Wonderful service, incredible food! It was our first time trying it, and I know we will be back! Great flavors, great mac salad! Can’t wait to try something new!
Restaurantji Recommends
Good food for fair price! Had the Kalua pork, the hurricane chicken, korean fried chicken, and their goji jun all very good! The chicken and beef had crispy crust and tender juicy inside! Pork had a bit of a smoked flavor and was very tender!
