After being seated the 2 of us waited for about 15 minutes before someone came over to take our orders. We ordered the bbq combo 2 to use the grill on the table. The staff proceeded to dump 3/4 of the meat onto the grill, which I had not experienced at any other kbb I've been to. So when she left we put most of the meat back on the plate to cook at our leisure to enjoy the experience of cooking it at our pace. Server then came back and proceeded to put more meat on and flip/move food without it being ready. Myself and my parter told the waitress thank you but we were fine, but she continued. We had to each say 5 times that we wanted to be left alone. Then another gentlemen came over and started doing the same thing, which we told him that we were fine, to which he stopped, waved his hand at us and replied "it's your food." We felt very rushed and disrespected for the constant intrusion. We won't be coming back. The waitress and gentleman were "friendly" but not respectful at all.

This is a culinary gem! From the vibrant ambiance to the mouthwatering barbecue, every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. The owner couples were friendly and attentive. So happy for them as their business is growing bigger. Parking was convenient. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic Korean cuisine!

I moved away several years ago, but I still think about their sundae bokkeum all the time. It's that good. Great food and the owners are always really nice.

Food is delicious. We didn't try the Korean bbq style. It looked good from other tables. The aroma isn't overwhelming like some other Korean BBQ places. Not filled with smoke, etc.

JCD moved into a bigger place next door and have bbq now!I only ordered entrees this time. JCD is always consistently good. Theyre my fave go-to Korean spot. My ride or die dishes are the bulgolgi, non spicy pork, fishcake soup, kalbi, gamjatang, bossam, jokbal. I ordered the spicy chicken with less spice, and I enjoyed it, especially the cheese on top!

There aren’t a lot of choices in terms of Korean food in Portland, but I’m happy to have discovered this place. Good mix of street style and restaurant food here and it’s good too. Parking is a challenge in this crowded little strip mall. Additionally the night we went, 2 tables that sat after us were served before us (we were only a group of 5) and we waited a long time before they even took our order. That’s my only gripe, otherwise it was good food.

They have a pretty diverse menu of Korean eats, including dishes that seem authentic. It's refreshing seeing a restaurant specializing in this cuisine and culture without being a DIY barbecue and without being a fusion place. The food is a bit on the pricey side but so worth it for the quality ingredients that they utilize. Their good at mixing excellent flavors. Also the meals come with rice and the appetizers. Service is efficient and attentive; the atmosphere is casual and clean enough. Restaurant is small but there should be space. I would highly recommend the beef bulgogi.
