I've been coming to Jim and Patty's off and on for quite a while. The go to drink that I would get was the Eldritch black tiger milkshake. It's the largest shake they had is delicious good coffee flavor good chocolate flavor if it was great. Mintown close by I figure I'll come in and get myself a wonderful shake maybe a pig Newton, it's changed. You can no longer get a milkshake and Eldritch anymore. So there's that. They also cut their space in half. That I can understand I mean you got to cut costs where you got to cut costs but I didn't think the milkshake says was going to be where they cut the cost at. What used to be a 32 oz good shake is now a 16 oz shake. And you can't get it in a bigger size. I find this extremely disappointing. And I reluctantly will never come back here again. I may not have been a frequent customer but I used to enjoy my visits when I came here and this was heartbreakingly disappointing.

I use to be obsessed with this place but it's just gone down hill. The are very slow which is fine when there's not a line, but they just can't handle it if it is busy. The workers are like in slow motion. I saw a girl who was make the drink just slowly making each drink as they kept pilling up. I was in for 10 minutes and 2 drinks were made and 3 orders taken, there is ZERO reason for being that slow. I had to just leave and go to Starbucks next door which I was in and out of in just 4 minutes. I hope that they can get better. I've also noticed they are always out of there food. Most of the time when I go in and I can never expect them to be prepared they are always slacking in one way or another.

IYKYKThe original O.G. coffee shop of Portland is still kicking. Delicious pastries & sandwiches of course.FANTASTIC coffee that doesn't try to taste like anything else, just damn good ?
Great place to meet friends, but $12+ for a mocha and a pastry is too much. Prices are high everywhere. I think I'll stick to making mine at home.

It makes sense why they couldn't afford the extra space and had to down size honestly.. kitchen closes at one and they close so early.. it's like they want people to spend their money at Starbucks across the street. I'm done with Jim and Patty's ?♂️
