We absolutely love eating here. They have been my favorite place to get sauteed green beans and BBQ pork fried rice. We come as often as we can and wish we could come more.
Very flavorful foods. Plentiful chooses... Beautiful presentation. Attentive service.
Delicious food adequate service dirty bathrooms
Great dim sum and some of the best chili crab and salt and pepper squid in Portland. The owners recently announced they are retiring and closing in September 2nd so get in while you can.
We had a good service today. We came at 11am but it get busy around noon. Food is good and I like the fact that they use table clothes. Short ribs Hongkong style is my favorite and their calamari
Very good dim sum selection! Little on the expensive side but it food was delicious. Saturday morning wasn't as busy as most dim sum restaurants. Defintely get here when they open. Good sevice and very friendly staff. Keep up the good work Jun Wah! :)
They have really below-average Chinese food. Trust me coz I am Chinese. I have known this place since the old days when it was located in the old shed next to Manila Market, 20+ years ago. Back then, they were the best of very few Vietnamese places around Portland. However, since they moved to this location, they expanded to Chinese and the result has been very underwhelming. I go there probably once a year, just to see if the quality has improved. Unfortunately my visit today was disappointing as ever. I had Dim Sum there for lunch on a Sunday. The place is surprisingly busy consider the quality. Yet, the fried food was cold, buns were under-cooked (what should be golden color bun is pale white instead), porridge was tasteless. Everything is laced with salt and MSG. I was so thirsty after eating there, even after downing two pots of tea. And of course, service is barely par for course for a typical Chinese restaurant - you smile and nobody smiles back. In short, avoid this place unless you are starving. Go to Tang Dynasty, East Harbor or Taste of Sichuan if you have to have Chinese on the West Side of Portland.
We had a large party in for lunch and ordered different vegetable dishes that all seemed the same. Dim sum which was good and fresh in the past seemed like leftovers this time, with overcooked parts that were chewey. Very disappointed this time compared to a visit a year-and-a-half ago.
i've ate here numerous times & every time has been great but not this time. the food was great as always but the service wasn't. i went up to pay and the front desk guy was super rude. he started off saying “what!†when i asked to pay and then continued to snatch the receipt from me. i usually don't care to post a review but i felt like this should be known.
Jin Wah is definitely our favorite chinese food on the west side of Portland area. The selection of authentic food here is what brought me in, and the fact that they serve Dim Sum. On weekends, the Dim Sum variety is extremely awesome. On weekdays, not so much, otherwise we would come way more often for lunch on weekdays. Many places serve "Chinese American" which takes the authenticity right out, and to me, tastes awful. Jin Wah reminds me of the place I went to every day for Dim Sum in Hawaii before work. My only hang up about this place, is the terrible customer service. I would give 5 stars if the customer service were better and they were more polite to the customers. I feel ignored here often, sometimes I never get tea when I requested it when we first sat down to more than one server. The lack of custoner service has caused my friends to want to eat other places and refuse to come here with me. I take my friends to eat a lot, and have brought in several people, but some can't appreciate the authenticity of the food like I can and want good customer service. Thank you

Amazing food. Great selection of food. The price was very agreeable for the amount of food we consumed. I loved it. They only lost a star because the service could be friendlier.
Food is good but expensive but customer service was very disappointing.... Had small child and staff thought they would intervene in correcting my child in a very strict judgmental manner. Never will be back!
The people here are super nice, my family has been coming here for years. Once I came back from surgery and one of the guys working there knows we like hot and sour soup so he brought my mom and I some, for free. I genuinely love coming here. I 100% recommend coming here.
Delicious food! I've never really been a fan of tofu but the Black pepper fries Tofu is amazing! The lemon chicken was surprisingly citrusy but it was still super delicious with a hint of lime. It's one my favorite places to go
Attractive decor. Dim sum Thursday lunch was tasty although limited choices, might be better on weekend. Great table service. Women's restroom did not appear clean. Seemed like they restocked paper/soap only.
