The food is good for what it is, but the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is where it shines. It is also a nice place to hang out with small groups of friends.
Wonderful place to write in and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere.
I'm visiting from out of town, and enjoy trying to find local coffee places to go. This space had such an open and accepting vibe, I was feeling joyful as I came in. Loved the cozy colors. The baristas were great, very patiently handling my pre-caffeine energy, explaining the specials. The avocado toast was scrumptious with my iced latte. Hopeful to stop in again on this trip before leaving, highly recommend stopping here for adding some simple joy to your day
This is a local neighborhood coffee shop with food options.
I enjoyed this shop during a Saturday afternoon meeting with friends.
One orders their drinks and food at the counter. The service was fast.
The seating options were sofa chairs, tables with chairs inside, and benches outside.
The shop is pleasantly decorated.
The location is easy to find just off of the main road.
Best coffee I have had in a long time, the drink was perfectly frothed and delicious. I also love the atmosphere of the place. It's a perfect place to meet up with a group or to do some work on a laptop
Stopped in to grab a coffee on our way back to the coast. The barista was welcoming and fun. The coffee is wonderful. I got a caramel macchiato and it’s made perfect. We will be back💜
Great vegan breakfast sandwich and great coffee. The staff is super friendly!
Joyful Java is a delightful coffee shop that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for both work and relaxation. During my recent visit, I ordered an iced latte and a hot chocolate, both of which were expertly prepared and delicious. The iced latte had a smooth, rich flavor, while the hot chocolate was creamy and indulgent—perfect for a cozy treat.
The food menu also impressed me. I tried the melted cheese sandwich, which was absolutely delicious, with just the right balance of gooey cheese and toasted bread. Additionally, the yogurt granola bowl was fresh, wholesome, and satisfying, making it a great option for a light yet fulfilling snack.
What truly stood out during my visit was the exceptional service. Our server, Boogie, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the experience. Their cheerful demeanor made the visit even more enjoyable.
The ambiance at Joyful Java is both charming and functional. The decor features coffee-themed signs and quotes, creating a cozy and inspiring environment. The seating options cater to different preferences—standard wooden chairs and tables are ideal for those looking to work on their laptops, while the comfy couches provide a relaxed setting for conversations with friends.
Overall, Joyful Java is a standout coffee shop in Beaverton, combining excellent beverages, tasty food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for a quick coffee, a satisfying meal, or a relaxing catch-up with friends, this place has something for everyone. The thoughtful seating options and charming decor make it a versatile space for both productivity and leisure. I highly recommend Joyful Java to anyone in the area and look forward to visiting again soon.

I was a barista for a long time so I have hard time understanding taking everyone’s order as they come in but neglecting to make any of the drinks. You’re suppose to finish drinks so people don’t wait around for 20 minutes with only 2 drinks ahead of you.
Drinks and burrito took a while to come out. I got the burrito to share thinking it would be a decent size for the price, it was smaller than I thought it would be. My drinks came out at the same time but my drink was extremely hotter than the other. I've never burned my tongue that bad. The other drink was just warm. The other drink also had a chocolate coffee bean on top, not sure what that was about since it was my first time there.
Tip your baristas, especially Zoe
I ordered a coffee, it wasn’t super busy and after waiting for almost half an hour I just left. Paid for nothing. It’s not a cozy or interesting place with a nice vibe that I’d want to hang out in, it looks like a basic Hobby Lobby enjoyer decorated it and I wasn’t into it. Maybe they’re super Christian owners and didn’t like my tattoos and just decided not to make what I paid for, maybe the barista was wildly incompetent, whatever it was I’m not going back and telling everyone I know to avoid them. Went to Blackrock and got my coffee in less than two minutes.
This is a little hidden gem. It has a great feel inside. Staff are friendly. I wish I could keep it to myself but it’s too good not to share!
