I stopped by Koreana in Portland for dinner a couple of months ago. Overall, I’d give them 6.8/10:- Ox Tail Soup: 8/10: Hearty but expensive for the amount you get- Stir-Fry Squid with Pork Belly: 8.3/10: Good flavour, a bit less spicy than expected- B Bim Baab: 7.3/10: Lacked flavour, average in balancing the food/ingredients- Seafood 0: Flavour was okay, variety of ingredients looked okay, but fairly inedible as it was really burnt

My fiance, his cousin, and I had dinner here a few nights ago, and all though there was only hour left until close, they served us with a great attitude and a smile on their faces. We did the BBQ, and the food came out super quick, and everything was delicious. The serves was great the lady's were beyond kind. Definitely recommend it if you look for a very homey vibe?

A variety of side dishes are provided,The combo menu is plentiful and good. The beef stew is also spicy and delicious. The soybean paste stew is especially delicious because it tastes like it was cooked by a grandmother in the countryside.LA ribs are also delicious.I tried grilled fish by Lim Yeon-soo and flounder. The flounder is really big and delicious~The child ate well. And the staff are always friendly. It’s a place I want to go again.

Their beef bulgogi was tender, flavorful, and delicious. I love all the little side dishes that they include with entrees. The kimchi was just fiery enough and was really tasty. The service was very good and friendly. Their menu doesn't have too many detailed descriptions so I'd recommend doing research first if you are not familiar with Korean cuisine. Definitely a keeper.

Wow, I've been sleeping on this spot for waaay too long. Was always a bit sketched out by the exterior of the place but after some research I convinced myself to give them a try and I couldn't be happier! The inside is cozy and rustic. They used a lot of wood and decors to mimick a Korean suburban home. The aunties working there couldn't be friendlier, tbh this might be the warmest service we've got at a Korean place in OR. They gave us time to look over the menu, ask questions, and constantly filling up our drinks and banchans. It's amazing. They offer pretty typical Korean items but a good variety and at more reasonable prices, especially at the portion that they give you. Plus, their food was AMAZING. It really felt like you've been invited to eat at a Korean's friend house and their mom is cooking. Everything tasted so homey and fresh, we couldn't help but devored everything we ordered. We got the Meat Pancake which were thin slices of meat battered in egg and fried; don't knock it until you've tried it. It's such a comfort food. The spicy sauce went so well with it too. Another thing we got was the Spicy Galbijjim. Definitely the pricier item on the menu and I would say it's a bit too overpriced for the pot of stew that we got but they did give us meaty pieces of short ribs. This was a bit different from other galbijjim that I've had. On the soupier side but the broth was tasty and slighty sweet. The meat was super tender and absorbed a lot of the flavors from the broth. Again, a very comforting dish especially on a cold day. Nothing beats yummy Korean dishes with a side of hot rice. This spot really surprised and won us over. They're definitely contending for the best Korean place we've been in OR. We shall be back!

What a local gem! I'm so glad we decided to try this place. We visited on a Friday shortly after 5pm and there were only a couple other tables seated, so we basically had the place to ourselves but the vibe was energetic because they were steady preparing to go orders the entire time we were there. We were greeted immediately upon entering and promptly seated. We ordered the short ribs, japchae and bulgogi. Everything tasted great! So great that I didn't even get pictures of everything because I was too excited to eat! My favorite thing though was the kimchi. I had really been craving some good kimchi and I was not disappointed. I also loved the rest of the banchan - the broccoli, the cucumbers, the Mac salad, the bean sprouts, the sweet potatoes - it was all amazing and perfectly complimented the meat. And I just I love me some Korean short ribs with onions - yum. Seriously, this meal was incredible and my review isn't really doing it justice. Like I could easily have gone back the next day to eat it all over again. Service was great - fast, friendly, easy. Looking forward to my next visit!

Stopped by this place recently and had a varied experience. The service stood out, with the staff being attentive and friendly. The bibimbap was decent, especially with its accompanying sauce, and the sake was quite good. However, the spicy beef soup definitely needs some work on its flavor profile. Would recommend the restaurant gives their soup recipes a revisit. If you're planning a visit, the bibimbap paired with sake might be a safe bet.
