Never been to Hawaii and curious about how the Hawaii food would taste like. Feel disappointed by the adventurous try. Got the seafood plate for around 20dollars +15% tips for nothing. There are three pieces of fried shrimp, one piece of fried fish, and some BBQ beef. Thr only thing taste OK is the BBQ beef. The fried shrimp and fish taste awful. Clear taste of bad oil with strong bitter after taste for every single bite. The fried fish taste bland beside the bad oil feeling. Feels like pre-made fried fish and just heated up. The beef like mentioned earlier is the only thing taste OK, but not different from any other BBQ beef you would get other restaurants. No special Hawaii flavor I could tell. Beside those items, salad is just simple cabbage casserole and rice is rice. Would not recommend.

Service was okay, and food was lackluster to say the least. Chicken Katsu not good and Neither was the beef, not tender and very fatty pieces. The Mac was not Hawaiian, no flavor.

L & L is loving and living!
I got the Shoyu Chicken plate today and it did not disappoint. So many other Hawaiian joints serve shredded shoyu. L & L leaves the bone in, and the chicken stays so juicy y’all! Don’t miss out on their bbq sauce or the mac salad either
You know I’m coming back

Not bad!! I usually get their loco moco but since my partner got that, I got the grilled mahi and that was delicious and filling. Would definitely go back! I also recommend going to Chicha after for boba - same parking lot and a few footsteps away!

We showed up 9 minutes before close and everyone was still super welcoming and kind. The employee and owner check up on us after they closed and we were sitting outside near by and then again as he was driving away. The owner fired the grill back up and cooked great food for us. I read the other reviews and those people tripping. The chicken katsu we got came with a chipotle guac size of sauce, theres more than enough times two, unless hes drinking it, probably why he got weird looks. The other lady complained there was bones in her bone in chicken, not sure what to do about that one. Anyways food was great, service was great and kind and its a locally owned shop that I'd rather support instead of a chain. Roxys is next door and the service is crap at twice the price.

Horrible food, unfriendly service. Curry tastes like out of the packet. Gives you stomachache. Chicken katsu was no chicken, all breading. Do not recommend.

I would rate higher as soon as you post your drink options on the menus of all of the delivery service apps you're on and update your phone number on Google. How am I expected to place a drink order with my meal if I don't know the size or the options and have no way of asking without placing an order and asking the delivery driver to ask on my behalf? This is such a huge inconvenience! Please fix both of these issues!

I ordered a katsu curry and a katsu musubi. I asked the worker for an extra katsu sauce. The guy says, oh, you ordered a katsu curry, the curry is the sauce. And then I say the extra sauce is for the musubi. Then he says, there’s sauce already on the musubi. And I said, yes there is, but not enough. He then suggests bbq sauce. I say I don’t want bbq sauce I want more katsu sauce. And then he gives me a look, and I respond with, “I’m from Hawaii, this is how I grew up eating it”. And then he insisted on charging me for it! He argued with me and then had the nerve to charge me for the sauce after I asked for it 4 times!
Why argue with the customer? I would have not minded paying for the sauce, if that was his first response. But then after me asking multiple times, he charges me for the sauce? This is a terrible representation of your brand, L&L. Do better. I will not be returning, and will happily spend my money at Roxy’s instead.
P.S. The food wasn’t even that good.

Food was okay but the plastic plates and utensils suck to eat with and bad for our environment...

We are always pleased when we order L&L! The food is fresh and delicious, and they always give a big cup of sauce with the katsu chicken. We ordered pickup via DoorDash and it was ready quickly.
