“Al Amir has been a family favorite for years. The owners know my parents, and our family are fairly regular. I honestly believe Al Amir is the absolute best Lebanese food in Portland. My husband and I just had them Cater our 10th wedding anniversary party, and everyone raves about the food. They were super generous with helping navigate our event. “We were a group of 5 and they seated us right away. The hummus & falafel were the stars of the show, some of the best I've had.
The fried cauliflower was excellent as well.
I was today years old when I learned that Lebanese nachos fries were a necessity in my life thanks to this place.
The service couldn't have been more gracious and friendly. Highly recommend this spot and I'll be back next trip to Portland!“

“Great service in a clean, bright environment. The employee who helped me out was very friendly and genuinely nice. I had a lamb gyro and a Turkish coffee, both were delicious and well priced. I wish this place was open on the weekends, but I'll settle for the weekdays.

“This is THE BEST mediterranean food truck. Their sauces are incredibly flavorful, meat is tender and perfectly charred. I have a gyro place right across from my house but come down here every time I'm in the mood and drag everyone else I know over here also. I LOVE this spot.“

“Our family absolutely loves gyros but nobody likes theirs exactly the same. My kid doesn’t like any sauces for example. It is really nice to see a fine dining establishment that actually caters to that need!
I love gyros! Every time I see a place that sells them, I go in to test things out. The gyros here are far superior to any I have had to date!
This is truly Mediterranean comfort food at its finest!
In my opinion, one of the best places to eat in the Pacific Northwest!“

“Karam catered our wedding and was a definite crowd-pleaser. We ordered lamb and chicken shawarma, chicken kebab, falafel, tabouleh, dolmas, and majadra, along with hummus and baba ghannouj. Everything was delicious, just as it is whenever we dine or get takeout from Karam. Our only regret is that we didn't order baklava, too!“
