Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Beaverton

I love hot pot, and this place is awesome. We had a little trouble getting beverages that we ordered to be delivered to our table, had to ask 3 separate waitstaff. But they were absolutely packed, so I am cutting them slack here. 4 stars for service only because of this, otherwise everything else was great! The food was excellent as usual.

Wonderful 3 course hotpot that wasn't too busy. We were a group of 10, but didn't know they used yelp to book reservations for more than 6 people. We had to wait a little, but they accommodated us wonderfully. Definitely go in hungry, you'll need the stomach space. Get the added sidebar for sauces, kimchi, picked cucumber, and lots more. We will be returning for more.

Horrible experience. I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit to this establishment. As first-time patrons, my party and I arrived at approximately 8:30 PM, one hour prior to the stated closing time. Shortly after being seated, we were presented with the bill, creating an immediate sense of being rushed and unwelcome.

While we understand the demands of the service industry, the lack of attentiveness from the staff was glaring. Our request for initial guidance with the menu was met with neglect, leaving us to navigate the dining experience unassisted. Furthermore, an incident occurred when a staff member inadvertently placed their hand into my companion's water glass. There was no apology offered, nor was the drink replaced.

Approximately 15 minutes later, a staff member returned to collect the bill without a word. Finding no payment, they stood the bill upright on our table. The repeated attempts to collect payment, were intrusive and unsettling. The act of placing the bill upright on our table was a blatant violation of our dining space and added to the feeling of being hurried. At 9:10 PM, When it became clear that we had not yet paid, we were abruptly informed that payment was required immediately due to the impending 9:30 closing time. They also told us that we could not remain more than 10 minutes past closing. This constant pressure from the staff significantly detracted from our dining experience.

The culmination of these negative experiences led to our decision not to leave a gratuity following our payment. This decision was met with an unprofessional and confrontational response from a staff member. Upon retrieving the check, the server immediately directed her attention to the tip section, noting its emptiness. She then instructed us to 'tip here,' pointing to the designated area. When we declined, she questioned, 'are you gonna tip?' Upon receiving no for a response, she abruptly departed in a displeased manner. Such behavior is unacceptable and indicative of a severe lack of training and customer service skills.

Given the substandard service, intrusive behavior, and the overall negative atmosphere, I cannot recommend this establishment. The experience, which cost approximately $40 per person, was far from satisfactory. While I am tempted to seek a refund, the prospect of further engagement with this establishment is unappealing. I sincerely hope that management will address these issues to prevent future patrons from enduring a similar experience.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience at this hotpot restaurant! The broth was rich, flavorful, and packed with the perfect balance of spices — you could taste the depth from the fresh herbs, chilies, and aromatics simmering away. The dipping sauce selection was excellent, allowing us to customize every bite to our liking. The side dishes, especially the stir-fried rice with eggs, peas, and carrots, were light yet flavorful, complementing the hotpot perfectly.

Service was attentive and friendly, with staff checking in just enough to make sure everything was going smoothly without being intrusive. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, and the overall atmosphere warm and inviting.

If you love authentic, well-prepared hotpot with quality ingredients and great service, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Imma be honest, I used to love coming here until yesterday. I will not be coming back. The new servers they got in there are straight up rude and do not look like they want to be there.
I was ignored multiple times and when one server brought me a water cup it was completely dirty on the inside. So I asked for sprite and there was a literal dead ant on top of the rim of the glass. I was disgusted and canceled my food. I left with no hesitation. All this happened before I got my food. It was so uncomfortable.
I hope you guys can do better and get back to better/ cleaner service.

This was an experience place, and quite unique. The problem was for a first time attender nothing was explained and we did not understand what we were supposed to do. The servers looked at us like we were idiots. We burnt ourselves. It would have been a much richer experience if we had some more understanding.

This is our first time to visit a Happy Lamb restaurant outside of Seattle area. The food quality is good, the lamb is fresh and tasty. The small plates provided in sauce bar is also nice. All my family members love it.
