7/5/21 8pm I was checking out & as usual my just 4 U discount didn't work. The cashier fixed what she could then called a manager over to help. There was an elderly, balding, Caucasian man wearing a "Fully Vaccinated" face mask & sleeveless shirt behind me. The cashier recognized him & made a comment about not seeing him in awhile. He started yelling at me to hurry up & move my transaction wasn't finished. He swore at me, called me names & kept moving his cart closer. After his 3rd round of nasty comments I yelled back. The cashier & other employees said nothing. I checked my receipt before leaving & I was still overcharged. I was waiting for a refund while he kept verbally assaulting me. A male customer intervened & told him repeatedly to stop. I asked for the manager's name & left. A female customers who heard him stopped in the parking lot to check on me & apologized. I decided to return my purchase. I went in & asked for the manager. The same 1 Steven Porter from earlier came up & I said I want him to get the groceries out of my car & a refund. He refused. I started talking to the guy who tried to help & Steven threatened to call the police on me. Another customer who heard it apologized. I went back to my car & got my purchase. I went back in & returned everything. As I left another lady stopped to check on me & apologized. I will never shop at Safeway or their affiliates again. The store should've intervened & told him to stop or leave. They never did. Apparently they don't value their female customers or protect them against being verbally attacked. I & several other people will be calling the corporate office & complaining. SHAME ON YOU SAFEWAY, STEVEN PORTER & EVERY EMPLOYEE WORKING WHO DIDN'T HELP! Thank you Nick, Zoe & the other concerned customers.

This is a pretty small store, you won't find a lot of variety because of it and it can get pretty cramped. The prices here are high and the parking lot gets crowded too and not exactly easy to navigate out of with the gas station there and other businesses.

Just had one of the best customer service experiences of my adult life. Chuck & Dustin were my checkers. I was the space cadet customer who used the wrong club card # after spending a bunch of time adding all the relevant deals. I asked if they could reenter my number and was told they'd have to start over. I was super hesitant to be a j**** especially given all the extra work our grocery people have to do right now. They said it was totally up to me, they had the time, and they were willing. It saved me $30 extra dollars, so I was super appreciative. They unloaded and rescanned everything and put it back, then offered to help me out and load my car. They never made me feel bad and were kind and friendly the whole time. It was a great example of kindness and humanity in these crazy times. They deserve a bonus!

Improve the delivery service. I have been using it for about a month now. I've had 1 time the meat didn't arrive (found out recently no one got their meat that day. WHAT!?!?!?!) Any thinking person would know that a full salt product is not a valid substitution for low sodium. At least I was able to refuse it. New order for today. 1) 2 hours late on delivery. 2) items substituted were fine, receipt said I was still getting low sodium V8 (not sure how that works.) 3) received double on 3 items (was not charged for them, but still...) 4) the "low sodium V8 it said I was getting was not, it's the regular one. We had an appointment for 12-2pm today for this delivery. Made it a point to be here the whole time. Received my receipt at 1225 pm (usually means it's all been picked and packed). Waited until about 3pm to call and find out what may be going on with the delivery. While on hold with customer service (don't even get me started on that.) received a call from the store in King City (apparently this is where the groceries actually come from?) that they are using door dash to deliver my order. They "usually" get there in about 30 minutes to pick up the order. At about 430 they got here with my order. I had a couple of great deliveries but these last 2 were so problematic that I have cancelled my subscription trial and will not be using the service again. I need to be sure I'm going to get what I order...every time. One more thing. 2 weeks in a row there have been "IT" issues. For a company this size this is unacceptable. My guess is this is the reason they were told to give.
