Was craving ramen after hiking so we decided to try this place out. This is a order up front before you sit type of service. The menu was a little over whelming with the different options. Wanted to get the deep fried squid rings but they were out. We both got the Chef's Special Ramen. The broth was not very rich and flavourful for a tonkatsu soup base. The pork was dry and rough. The ginger was too powerful to be include in the ramen. The noodles were chewy. Service was good but the ramen was not.

Egg was cold and overcooked. Customer service was lackluster. For the price I expected a little more.

I'm all honesty the Ramen wasn't very good. It was not worth the price. The broth lacked flavor. Customer service was okay.

First time trying House of Ramen. I ordered the Chef Special which consists of a tonkotsu soup base, normal wavy noodle, Chashu pork, flavored egg, bean sprouts, bok choy, green onion, corn, ginger, bamboo shoots, kikurage, nori. I know the subject of what makes a good Tonkotsu broth can be divisive, but I found their tonkotsu to lack a depth of flavor, lack the silky mouth feel expected from a long boil of pork bones and is overly salty. I prefer more pork, ginger, mineral flavor overall. The noodles were soft and chewy, so no fault there. I will give them kudos for serving the broth piping hot as many houses fail in this regard!

This place was really good for inexpensive ramen! We ordered delivery through a 3rd party app, and usually it’s an iffy experience with ordering ramen to go but with this place, it was a great experience. The tonkotsu broth tasted good and the presentation of the toppings looked nice. The meal was packaged well and the food arrived nice and warm. Everyone in our party was a fan of the ramen, and we’ve ordered pretty consistently from there now. It’s our go-to $13 ramen!

The ramen is tasty, good variety of options. The smoothie place in the same location is really convenient too.

Absolutely horrible ramen. You can see the bends in the noodle from the dehydrated noodle cake they use. The broth tastes like it was made with a seasoning pack and the pork was previously frozen. They had this abomination of an idea to throw Kirkland brand three cheese blend in the broth. Priced as high as a good ramen place with the quality of a 50 cent ramen packet.

Ramen was average and not authentic. Meat was dry and looked to be bought and assembled. Broth was flavorless. Reminded me of stuff I make at home where I buy everything and just assemble. I am sticking with Ramen Ryoma for authentic ramen.

It took me a while to convince my better half that we should try this place, but I finally did and she/ we, absolutely love the place. They have delicious authentic ramen, and they make you feel welcome there as well. If you like Pho, I think you would probably like this place just as much as a nice alternative.

The ramen here is great! I read other reviews and lots of people didnt enjoy the chashu but my bf & I did. I ordered the #9 Kyushu and my bf ordered the #8 Kyoto ramen. We also ordered veggie egg rolls and it complimented the ramen very nicely. The service was nice and the restaurant is very spacious. On the right side of the restaurant they sold boba and other drinks which was pretty cool. Also, you have to pay for your food before seating.

We're frequently in the area and I finally got a chance to try House of Ramen. Unfortunately it was disappointing. We tried the Chef Special with Tonkatsu and Miso broth. Both broths were very salty but lacked umami. The egg unfortunately was nearly hard boiled instead of having the runny center. The pork was dry (I also prefer fattier pork in my ramen). I like the variety of toppings but that was about the only positive. The shrimp tempura on the other hand was quite tasty!! We got our food to go and the tempura was still crispy and warm.

For $15+ I would expect some better ingredients and a richer full bodied broth. Ordered the chefs special. It was watery, lacking flavor, for sure made from a mix. The pork loin was dry and grainy. Eggs were over cooked, not runny. The temperature was good at least. Very hot.

This was my first time visiting a Ramen restaurant. We placed our order and paid when we came in before we sat down. The person who helped us made some recommendations as we weren't sure what to order. Everything was prepared as expected and plenty of noodles and veggies in the soup. I think it seemed a bit much for noodles but I know this is a thing today. Certainly will consider going back again.

Between this location, and the downtown Portland House of Ramen, they make the best ramen I've had in the area! We've tried several different ramen restaurants in the Portland metro area and Salem and I haven't found one that comes close to House of Ramen. The broth is savory and delicious, the eggs are always incredible, and the variety of toppings are delicious.
