The Westgate Bourbon Bar & Taphouse

We have always loved The Westgate, but we haven't been since the pandemic because it was always packed when we stopped by. Tonight we went at 5pm (when it opens) and were able to get two seats at the bar. And it was the best night. Food was delicious, drinks were amazing, and the bartenders were knowledgeable, congenial, and on top of everything. And they have a truly amazing Whiskey selection (goes without saying). We also grabbed some Sam Smith ciders from the bottle shop on our way out. Great, uniquely wonderful place.

Looking for a cozy spot. Ironically, I dint drink, so we played pool and drank tea....I know. All that beautiful booze! But the service was impeccable. Tea wasn't bad either:)

Found this by accident. I was in the area, and left very impressed by the food and service. The excellent Bourbon options are beyond what i imagined. I will be going back.

Great drinks, best in Portland way, way better than Teardrop Lounge, or Legion. Food is consistently good and they’ve taken a “Bar Menu” to the next level. Good acoustics so you can carry a conversation, and service is friendly above average. Prime time plan on 30-45 minutes wait..

One of the best bars I've been to for food and drinks. They've got excellent flavor pairings, with some classics and some unique items on their clever and punny menu. The wagyu burger is arguably my favorite burger in the state.

Excellent selections of spirits and drink concoctions. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The same employees seem to be here after years of going to this place, so they must treat their staff well.

Great place to go! Our server was a bit off. I can't put my finger on it, he was just a strange communicator. Besides that, drinks were great along with the food! Great vibe!

Fun place with creative starters and solid main course dishes. The decor is compelling with a mix of red brick and bottles of the best spirits.

The food is excellent, but the drinks are positively mind-blowing. We celebrated a birthday there and our waiter really made it a great evening.

Lovely environment. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Food is incredible and reasonably priced for large portions. Ordered a sandwich and it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Drinks are amazing. Highly recommend the lemon meringue cocktail!!

This place is killer. The service was impeccable and the food - I got Caribbean chicken and my wife got a sand which - was well-seasoned, mouth watering, and decadent. Cocktails good too.

It’s good to have a fantastic restaurant in the suburbs like this. These kinds of spots You could never find outside of Portland proper. Their dishes are thoughtful, their cocktails, a cut above… we ALWAYS order their cheese curds.
Been there 10+ times… never been disappointed.

Love this place. My brother brought me here. They have such a huge selection of all kinds of spirits. The service hands down one of the best I've experienced on this trip.
