Axel's Taco Shop (Bend)

I'm disappointed in myself for waiting so long to try this place! The restaurant is very clean and well lit and the staff is super friendly. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos and pork street tacos. All were exceptional! The salsa bar is amazing with tasty salsa, crisp pickled carrots and yummy grilled onions with whole jalepeno! And the best part... the price! It's hard to find any food places open past 9pm or affordable anymore, in Bend. I'm happy to say, " We've found our new spot!"

This is a welcome recent addition to Bend's east side! We had shrimp tacos, something we've sampled at many spots in Bend, and must say they were among the very best. Quick service, nice atmosphere (no loud music!), this is a repeater.

Every time that I have eaten there the meat has always been so salty. Specially the cabeza and tripa. What I have noticed to is that everything is cleaner in the morning with a clean salsa bar but in the evening the salsa bar is a mess. Please fix that.

Door dashed the chicken tamales combo plate and was given the beef tamales. Beef is pasty, similar to the beans. Pretty disappointed for my first impression.

Highly disappointed in this new taco place. I would suggest everyone pass and I might not even try their breakfast burritos as a last effort in support.

Stopped in for Sunday burritos with 6 guys. Food slaps, service is solid, atmosphere was clean and pleasant.
They are potentially the only spot open on 27th late!

Such great Mexican food! The salsa bar is amazing and so is the customer service. Being from San Diego, this is our go to Mexican food spot in bend. Plus with a drive thru - you can’t beat it.

Ever since my first time visiting, they have served great food. I’ve tried the Axel, Bandito Arizona, and Oregon. All of which I think are excellent. They are definitely a favorite.

I had a breakfast burrito and my buddy had a beef and bean burrito. They were excellent, priced well and sized properly for grown men. I'm def eating here many more times in the future.
