First, the bbq is really good, but the dine in experience is lacking. Lights too bright, service iffy, 90s music. We were charged $32 for a combo platter but the menu on the wall shows $25. We were told the menu on the wall is old. ? Ordered a cider and were told it ran out two days ago. Shrug. Had to ask for salt and ketchup. Not deal breakers, but it could be so much better. On the upside? They have the cheapest beer in Bend.

Food is mediocre at best. Staff is pleasant. Would recommend spending money elsewhere on better quality bbq.

Had a recommendation to eat at Baldys from a friend when 4 of us were staying in Bend. The food was terrific!! All 4 of us enjoyed our meals very much. Ryan helped us and answered questions. He was super. So happy we ate here.

Visiting Bend for work. Found this little gem of a BBQ joint. Thank you for the great food and friendly chit chat!!!
Dietary restrictions: As a carnivore the cashier was very receptive and knew what I was needing. Thank you

Last night we ordered our food at 7:15, received it at about 7: 30, and they close at 8:00. We sat an outside table that was covered with dirt. We asked them if they could wipe it down and they handed me a little red bucket with some water and a rag. So I cleaned myself. There were two other tables being used out in the patio. So there were other customers there. We tried to go back into the restaurant and they had locked the doors at 7:45 and turned off the lights. We knocked on the window and finally got them to come out to give us some go boxes. We tried to use the restroom before we left at 7:55 and we were still locked out and couldn't get back in. The employees were in the parking lot and we're preparing to leave. It seems to me if you're open till 8:00 and taking orders until 8:00 you at least stick around until customers are done with their meals. The food was good but the half rack of baby back ribs was actually a quarter rack. There were only four ribs in each half rack. They had a young crew working and didn't seem to care about the customers as much as they did wanting to get out of there right at 8:00 p.m. We're still going to go back and eat there but this was a still a very disappointing experience. Another problem was you pay for your food at the counter when you first order and that's when you include your tip. I always tip 20% but I wish I could have adjusted it for this experience.

Not bad for a quick bbq. Tight turn into the parking lot. Food was a little dry but nicely smoked. The sauce sweet with a cats meow option with a little bite.

The sauce is legendary! Ordered the brisket and a half rack of ribs, it was amazing. Sides are great and filling. Shared a regular Cesar salad, this was the most underwhelming item we ordered.
