Always amazing food and service here. My husband and I always get the fajitas for two. So good. During COVID, the portions for take out are huge, seems like even more than in the restaurant. Definitely more than one meal for us.

They are known for their Mexican Seafood (which is great) but my daughters swear by the empanadas as well. Consistently great food, large enough portions for leftovers and awesome service.

The prices are WAYYYYYYY too high considering the cost to buy/make beans/rice.. really? Ate here tonight and yes the food was good. One of the best "mole" I've had recently, but you could tell it has a ton of either sugar, maple syrup, or both in it not to mention molassess , but $80 for one app of nacho's and two entree's with NO drinks? Coming from San Francisco which is the most expensive city in the U.S. Baltazar's is more expensive then comparable restaurants there. I get that restaurants are struggling, and have lost tons.. and maybe they even had to adjust their pricing.. but this place is beyond overpriced. The owner was really rough around the edges, pushed himself into conversations with patrons who clearly didn't ask him join, and was very loud and invasive. We won't be back. Not because of the experience/food.. but because of the pricing.

We went as an extended family. We were greeted warmly and treated to fantastic fare by an attentive staff. The food was superb, and the drinks wonderful! We will be back!

Was told by the owner to get out. Asi was leaving with my party. The owner told me that asa a Mexican i shoild support his business. What s joke! Never going back!

The owner is absolutely insane. Read the less than 5 star reviews. His arrogance has dated back for YEARS. It's quite unbelievable that he is still in business.

My boyfriend and I went here for a date night. Unfortunately, I can't say we will be back. I'm basing this review on these factors: service, food quality/presentation, ambiance. Sadly, the only reason it gets a 3 is because the chips, salsa and margaritas were on point. Delicious. Service was pompous. We didn't feel welcomed. It wasn't warm. I believe we were waited on by the owner or manager. He appeared both frustrated and negative in his demeanor.Food quality/presentation was a 2 out of 5. The prices were for a 5 star restaurant. We went to this place knowingly that it was more spendy but we're hopefully it was due to impeccable food and service. I got the red snapper. The fish filet (if you could call it that) arrived in pieces. Not sure if it wasn't filet'ed properly or just sautéed in so much butter that it just fell apart. The "fruit salsa" on top was giant chunks of cantaloupe and pineapples. Nothing I would pay almost $30 for again. Ambiance: it is a great location. However lacks any inspiration or vibe, in my opinion.If you are looking for just some chips and salsa and a margarita, I would recommend. Just make sure you have your check book ready.

Our first take out experience at Baltazar's and it was fantastic. Food ready and piping hot when we arrived. High quality seafood, amazing flavors, super generous portions. We read some of the negative comments about the prices, not our experience at all. Think of this as a quality seafood restaurant with a Mexican twist. Cannot wait to eat on the patio next time round!

The food is fresh and presented beautifully. We go to Baltazar's whenever we come to Bend, and now with Covid, we dine outside on the patio. Very friendly staff, too.

The food and service was amazing. I went there with a few friends three days ago. Some of the plates can be spendy but you do get a lot for your money. I will definitely be going back there and taking new friends to this place soon.
