We just checked in for our first stay at Campfire Hotel. The staff is very friendly. The grounds and amenities are super fun and incorporate all there is to love about Bend into a great, comfortable spot!! We will definitely be back and we just got here!

Worth a visit on Sunday evening with karaoke night. Good cocktails and cool vibe in the bar, or hang out at the campfire.

This is tough. I like this place, they have great cocktails. But it’s not Dogwood, it is so so different and a totally different feel and space and does not have the class that Dogwood has. That’s probably the intention but I can’t give it the 5 stars straight across that Dogwood had. I miss Dogwood…please come back. And not at a hotel.

Kid-friendliness: Obviously not.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not good.

We stopped in for a couple drinks to check out the DJ, Greg G. The atmosphere was great. His set was perfect for what we needed, relaxed but upbeat. We will come back for the pool/hot tub and atmosphere in the future. Stayed longer than we planned. Pendelton chair backs, decor in general was pleasing.

Really appreciate the quality of service!! I brought home cooked food and forgot utensils and serving dishes. They provide them in the lobby! I drank all my water, they have really good water available to refill, as much as needed. The POOL!! It’s heated 100 degrees.. I wanna live there!!! Love to Bend from Portland

Beware, that when you are in the lobby checking in, a $100 security deposit will be charged on your credit card, and you won't get it back when you are checking out. It will be held for 2 or more days, after you leave. There was no mention of this when I called direct to make my reservation. When we returned from dinner , there was literally no parking space available , in any of the lots. The front desk told us to park in a handicap space...leaving us to wonder if we would be towed or fined overnight.

This boutique MOTEL, not hotel, is over-priced for what you really get. If you value fun, great! If your safety matters, find elsewhere to go. Pro: boutique decor, location is near downtown Bend and Old Mill district. Response from management was quick and polite. Bar, fire pits, and pool area was nice but hot tub was not hot ( heated pool temp only). Cons: Thoughtful decor and finishing touches mask the sub par cleanliness; outdated A/C (loudness of it wakes you up); unsecured windows ( the windows were only secured by screws and could be opened from outside the room. The screws allowed the windows to open enough that someone can reach in and open the door. This is also a fire hazard since you can’t escape in case of fire); front desk staff at check out was not responsive to concerns and did not ask how my stay was; and there’s a homeless camp right next to the property. The $50 refund (after contacting them) management claimed to process is an insult to the real value of staying in this property.

It felt like staying in a cabin in the mountains. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Basil, A.J., miles and Molly all went out of their way to answer our questions help us find places that we wanted to go came up with suggestions. Everything was wonderful.

Let's start by clarifying that the establishment is a motel rather than a hotel. However, it surprises guests with a charming amenity—an inviting fire pit where you can gather and indulge in the delightful tradition of making s'mores. The overall design of the motel is pleasing to the eye, but it's important to note that the quality of labor and materials used may not meet the highest standards. Nevertheless, it still manages to offer a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Another aspect to consider is that music is played until 10 pm, which can either add to the lively ambiance or be a potential source of noise for those seeking tranquility. An interesting feature worth mentioning is the availability of CBD gummies in the room, providing a unique touch for guests looking to unwind and relax.

Not a great place to stay if you’re looking to relax or sleep in at all. We stayed for 3 nights. With the first sunrise, we realized that there were no blinds on the window. At first I was mad that we had been given “the bad room”, but as we walked around the property, I noticed that there were multiple rooms without blinds. Additionally, this is an old property with loud pipes, thin walls and poor insulation. You will likely hear your neighbors from any room and if you’re on the ground floor, you’ll definitely hear the people above you. And, if anyone flushes a toilet in the building, you’ll hear that too. I can usually shake off the effects of a bad night’s sleep with a cup of coffee. There is an instant kettle in the room and there was one pour-over pack for a single cup of coffee. I called the lobby to request that more get sent to our room and was advised that they no longer furnish the rooms with coffee (the one in my room was just a hold over from the good old days when they provided these). There is coffee in the lobby, but honestly, that’s very little consolation. If I’m going to put clothes and shoes on, I’d rather get in my car and drive to a real coffee shop. The dogs barking throughout the property, the folks having fun at the fire pit and pool, the live music and DJs - all of that commotion is expected and in fact, kinda cool. It’s the lack of basic amenities - to me that includes blinds on the windows and coffee in my room - that made this one of the worst stays I’ve had recently.
