Been here quite a bit, and usually it is phenomenal. Today, however, Heather was our waitress and she was too busy gossiping in the back to care about customers. When she came to take our drink orders she took one person’s then started to walk away. The rest of us had to holler after her what we wanted. On top of that, when she brought the drinks she forgot one and had to be reminded (there were only three of us). Move onto the food order and she didn’t pay attention to that either. Someone asked for chopsticks, twice, and they were never brought. One person asked for no spice and their dish had spice. They don’t handle spice well, so this resulted in them not eating what they wanted. Someone traded their dish with them as we didn’t trust her to be able to correct the problem at this point. During the meal she never came back for any water refills or to see if we needed anything. After, when we gave her the card to pay, she took the card to the register, dropped it onto the counter and walked away. No one was at the register, so the card sat there unattended where anyone could have gone up and taken it. Granted, it was 30seconds, but no one’s card should be left like that for anyone to grab. 4 stars for food, 0 for service.

Love this place its a childhood regular and here's why: Chans is NUTORIOUSLY awful but we all keep going back because it's tradition or something ? no one you know from Bend even likes Chans but for SOME REASON we always go back and eat their poorly made Chinese food ???1 star for service 5 stars for atmosphere because Chans is so notoriously bad that it's hilarious. This place is like your very own personal reality show; I *need* to see Gordon Ramsay in here to live. The waiter was inattentive, had an attitude with every single table he worked with, and wouldn't even look at us for a good 20 minutes while we were trying to get boxes till we went to find them ourselves. BUT THATS NOT THE ENTERTAINING PART;-Another customer calls him over and says the meat tastes spoiled and rancid.-Waiter walks to owner who is sat down eating and says "they say the meat tastes rotten" and she waves him off and says to go tell the cooks-He came out of the kitchen leans with his arm on their seats and says "So do you wanna order something else orrr.. because they think if they remake it you'll just say the same thing."JgjgjfjfjfjI HAVE to see Gordon Ramsay shove his ungloved hands into their rotting chicken and shout "ITS ROTTEN!!!" I JUST MUST

The first time we dined at this place the food was excellent and large portions to boot. The 2nd time we went, not so much. The chicken sub gum was not edible. The fried shrimp wasn't fresh and tasted like it was from the day before. The rice was okay. Dry and crispy on top. At least there was a lot of food. We might stop by again.

Coming from out of state, we were really looking forward to a nice Chinese dinner. The service was pretty good, but unfortunately the meal was very disappointing. Tasteless and very little flavor.. I also saw something very disgusting. One of the waiters wiped his nose with the palm of his hand while standing next to us and looking at me. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

Portions are HUGE. Picture shown was after I've eaten, but the meal barely looks touched. I got the mothers chicken with pan fried noodles and it was delicious. Would come again.

Probably the best Chinese joint in town as proven by its long and proven track record. Great atmosphere and food.

Great service , nice gentleman waiter , took my daughter for Valentine's day , what can I say " beat that " anyways the American Chinese was good the pot stickers are probably the best I have ever had and it's consistent, it's my opinion right ? Well mine is " everywhere is expensive now , I get it , the cost of produce and meat has gone up significantly thanks too the crisis over in the Persian gulf, it's part of this life the people ahead of us blew it , I'm talking about the baby boomer gen , they always played like they were so great but honestly they really screwed this country up big time and left all the peices for us to pick up , anyways eat here think about making sure the staff feels welcome because they like it here . Pot stickers and honestly the noodle bowls are pretty deece.. GenX

The garlic ginger chicken and shrimp with green beans was outstanding! They offered a generous portion that adequately fed my wife and myself and still had leftovers. Appreciated our server who stirred us to this dish over our first choice.

We have eaten at this restaurant in the past a few times The last time we were here the food was okay so we decided to try again later on and that's the reason for this review. My wife had the shrimps with lobster sauce and I had the wonton soup My wife said the shrimp with lobster sauce had no lobster sauce and could not even taste it. She said it was mainly shrimp and egg. My wonton soup was absolutely the worst soup I have ever experienced in my life The only thing I can guess that they did was boiled some water through all the meat in and boiled it with no seasoning that's what it tastes like. It was so bad I spit it back in the bowl and my wife got it to go. I am not making this up I tried to feed some to my dog and he would not eat it. I'm extremely disappointed with this restaurant I know it's a busy place and a lot of people come here maybe there is a dish or two that are good here but what we had was pure dog food never to return for sure. There are too many Chinese restaurants in the bend area and dangs is just down the street they are Thai and way better.
