Food was excellent. That said, you could tell they were having a rough day. Told us 30 minutes wait, then took 1.25 hours. Then another hour for our food. We saw several people sat after and get their food before us. Once we got everything it was delicious, server was doing her best. Just don't be in a rush or have a party over 4. We were a party of 6 and it was probably our undoing.

We waited 45 minutes to be seated and another 10 minutes before they took our beverage order. I am not exaggerating I literally set timers. We finally got to order and they said they were out of the crab cakes. Okay, so I ordered the omelette. Then they said they were out of the chorizo in the omelette. We got up and left. Worst experience at a restaurant in my life. I left crying because of how it ruined our Sunday plans. Every other breakfast place closes at 2 and we left at 1pm. I saved money to treat myself on Sunday and they did not provide any good service. Horrible place. Do not trust this place if you have other things to do in your day.

No wait and fine service at 8am on a weekday - wouldn’t recommend at all based on food. Ordered the “local” - roasted sweet potatoes were bland, multigrain bread was molding, the jam it was served with tasted vinegary. Eggs were fine. Meal was server with three sauces, no disclaimer given that one of them was extremely, extremely spicy. On top of the moldy bread, ruined my meal. Chicken sausage wasn’t my fave. They were nice enough not to charge me for my plate due to the bread, but overall, I only ate the eggs.

Was optimistic about this place especially after nearly an hours wait. I ordered a sandwich with sirloin steak and arugula…. They chicken fried the steak (which was not mentioned in the menu). The steak was so tough my jaw hurts as well as my stomach. The service was also really slow. Mckay cottage is a better choice

We attempted to have Brunch today, the restaurant wasn’t crowded and we were seated immediately outside. We were served water and a food menu and then that was where the service ended. Several tables were seated after us and served coffee and cocktails while we were still waiting to even get a cocktail menu. We left.

EXPENSIVE for a small chicken sammy. Waited 40 mins to be seated and then another 45 for food so do NOT come here if you are in a rush. Vibe was nice tho and people were too

Been 3 times in the last month. The food is excellent but the service and wait time were testing our patience. They seated us communally at a picnic table with another couple, even though there were open tables everywhere.

Saw that this place was rated decently. I’ll start off by saying they are very bad at accommodating big groups. We had a group of 8 (not that big). It wasn’t busy, it took forever to get seated. Our food also took nearly an hour to come out, which was decent food, but would’ve tasted better if we hadn’t gotten condescending service. When we were told that we could split the bill, the waiter couldn’t manage to do that, resulting in another half hour of waiting to figure it out. Blamed us for not making it “easy” for him. Never coming here again.

Not worth 4.4 stars. We waited an hour for our food even though tables around us were empty. The food itself was mediocre at best. They messed up our order and also ran out of OJ before noon. The bathroom had a wet paper towel roll to dry hands with. We expected more based on the google reviews.

Feels like a place that used to be good but lost it along the way. Food was bland and service was slow.

If I could give the service 10 stars, I would!

I had an unfortunate panic attack while dining here this morning. (Totally unrelated to the restaurant, just a personal thing) My server Laura saw that something was wrong and quickly jumped into action to help. I couldn’t believe how kind, thoughtful, and carrying she was. She showed me that there are still good people in the world. I needed that. Thank you Laura!

Also, the food was freaking FANTASTIC!! I wanted to order everything on the menu haha.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you Chow!

We’ve been wanting to try Chow for years, but it’s always been packed and we haven’t had time to wait around for seating. Today we decided to go for it, but oddly, there was no crowd at 8:45 AM on a Saturday morning in July during Summerfest. The table that we were eventually seated at was vacant for the first 20 minutes that we waited.
Our large party unanimously stated that the place was overrated, and the food was not fresh or tasty for that matter. Much of it looked reheated, stale, and looked like it had been sitting for a while. We left at about 1015 and there was still barely any new guests there. Something seems to have gone dramatically downhill for this establishment. The staff was friendly. And our waiter was kind enough to remove a plate from our check due to the dissatisfaction that someone in our party voiced when the plate was picked up after the meal and hardly anything had been touched.
I hope they are able to bounce back.

I never leave reviews, but this restaurant unfortunately stood out to me. My group and I willingly waited forty minutes for a table. However, once we were seated, excited for refreshments and service, our order was not taken for the next thirty minutes while many folks who were seated after us were tended to. Our waiter was also very condescending. He was very rude when I simply asked for no mushrooms on my eggs Benedict (the only accommodation we asked about). He also harshly placed his foot on the bench we were sitting on, which just seemed disrespectful. When my food arrived, it was missing vegetables. My Boyfriend’s potato’s came without onions and they forgot the tea he ordered. My friend’s grits came out very cold, bland, and without bacon. Mind you, all of these missing items were listed in the ingredients of each meal. Despite it all we were kind despite the service, but at the end the waiter basically validated the poor service by saying it was a Sunday so everyone was tired.

50 minutes after being seated, on what appears to be a somewhat empty patio and still no food :(
