Food and service were great, will definitely come back
Depending on the time of year, you may have to pick out aphids from your food if you're eating outside! Besides that, food was very good and the service was excellent!
Chow is an absolute gem of a restaurant! The service was wonderful, the food excellent (we had the eggs Vinny -traditional Benedict style, and the crab cake version). The wait for our table was about 20 minutes, giving us time to walk the dog around the block. They welcomed our dog for outdoor seating and gave him his own water bowl at the table.
Food was not worth 2 hour wait… one hour to be seated and another hour after we ordered. Crazy thing is that during that time, we couldn’t get anyone to come and give us a refill of coffee or water. When food came, it was subpar. Lacked basic seasoning and was bland. We were optimistic because of the good reviews, but something has changed. We won’t be back.
Speedy AM to go order. Luv the sweet potato and blue cheese combo 😋
Went to Chow on Easter Sunday. I have heard it’s THE spot in Bend so we were excited that it wasn’t booked out.
First the service was strange. The employees had a weird attitude but we chalked it up to a Holliday weekend. It took at least 20 minuets after seating to get our order in but again we chalked it up to the weekend. Specifically an employee who was walking around filling waters and being kinda rude and too casual. The new girl who seated us was really nice, our waiter was nice enough and it could have been the Easter rush, it wasn’t however all that busy.
Then, we ordered our food. I got a poached egg dish (~$18) and my husband got the fried steak (~$22) as well as some coffee and a bloody marry. Add bacon was $6.
The food was, not joking, horrible. The eggs on my dish were severely undercooked and the whole dish was flavorless. His steak was mostly un chewable. Would have expected better flavors from a cheep diner. We both were very surprised at how gross the food was for such a reputable joint.
Our bill was $71 and we feel so sick from the food. I feel so ripped off and bummed I didn’t make a better choice for our Easter outing, not being able to afford to do something else to make up for it. Such a bummer. Won’t be returning unfortunately, I was so excited to go here, how strange. Taking recommendations for a good brunch joint.
Food was ok...French Toast was a little cold and the bacon was not fully cooked. The server was so sweet and easy to talk to. She made the experience positive.
The breakfast potatoes and house made bread were very good. I’m vegetarian so when I saw they had veggie sausage gravy I was excited to try it and the server recommended it. Unfortunately, the gravy I received was pure liquid. My biscuits and eggs were soaking in a weird buttery liquid which was very off putting. It wasn’t gravy texture or tasting at all. The service was very slow, we waited for ~40 min for a table and then another 30+ minutes for our food. Overall probably wouldn’t come back.

Host seemed a bit impatient, the atmosphere wasn’t too welcoming. I don’t have coffee often so when I do I want to enjoy it but unfortunately I couldn’t, it was bland mixed with cigarettes ash flavor. The water is from the tap, taste like chlorine. The food is also overpriced wouldn’t go there again.

Sloooow service on Sunday brunch. I think they're short staffed. Food was just fine but there's better all around. I appreciated there are several gluten free options. Nice vibes if the weather is good.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free stuff is baked in house. It's better than average.

We make a point of eating here at least once on our regular trips to Bend.
The menu items are creative and yummy. They have vegan options as well. Very cute decor inside, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It is clear they like working there, which is always a good indicator of the quality of the restaurant.
Be adventurous and try something different from their menu.

We hadn't visited since pre COVID. This place was an absolute favorite. While both the food and service were spot on today, the physical environment left a lot to be desired. The bathrooms were absolutely filthy. We were the first customers in the door so they had obviously not been cleaned overnight and maybe not for weeks??? And, overall, the place felt worn and in need of a deep clean and repaint.

We went today for breakfast and several things were inadequate. The meal took 50 mins, the food was cold and 2/3 diners did not get their sure order of food yet was charged on our bill. It used to be a great place to dine but we won’t be going back

They were understaffed and did really well considering. Food was good, hard to find the place, no easily visible sign up.

This was a cute place that was recommended by multiple people while we were in Bend. People weren't lying as the food and service was really good. I got the Cuban sandwich which had thick cut ham, pulled pork, pickles, Swiss and a mustard sauce(?). Delicious! The wife got the two egg breakfast with chicken sausage and corn meal crusted tomatoes. Everything was really good.
