Great people, friendly and cheerful. Service was a little slow.

It pains me to write this as their food used to be pretty good, but it's terrible now. This is the third time in a row now that they either messed up my order or served me half cooked food. This time I got the chix strip basket and the fries were so soggy they werent even edible. I'm pretty sure the bread wasn't even toasted but rather just dipped in butter. If you are looking for food, I'd recommend anywhere else.

I was shocked by how small the French fry portions were. Potatoes aren't that expensive.

Very slow. Nobody at counter so made us order via app. That’s great for delivery…but terrible for order in person. I’m not sure why anyone would come here in person.

Good is fine, for fast food. Ice cream is superior. Help is scarce, under paid, and under age. They are doing their best though.

I placed an order on the app and was given an estimated time it would be ready. I went to the store and the location was closed. I never received my food and still got charged.

Stopped at this location for a snack, the cheese curds & pretzels were good. But the restaurant service was lacking. There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived, they did have a drive thru line however we stood at the counter for 10 plus minutes before one of the back of house food prep workers got someone to come out to take our order. A gentleman came out from the back as if we disturbed him from a break or something. We ordered and took a seat.
While we sat at a table waiting for our food another gentleman entered the restaurant and he too waited at the counter for over 10 minutes before he was addressed. This happened to 2 other people while we waited for our food.
Now our food was done and on the counter for who knows how long, before I got up to check if it was ready. The food wasnt brought to us, no number was called, just sat on the counter expected to know.
There was a large spill to the right of the counter that stretched from the counter to the freezers. And instead of cleaning it - a sign was sat there, staff and customers walked through it and paid it no mind. This was quite a bit of water on the ground. It wasnt until an older employee came out from the back on his way home that he saw the puddle and got a mop and cleaned the area and properly placed the sign with minimal water and not a huge puddle on the floor. This employee deserves some recognition because he was the only one in the store that seemed to care at all about the customers or safety.
Would not recommend this location.

Stopped in for a quick bite running errands since it’s the kiddos favorite spot. The young man at the register kindly checked to verify burger patty was gluten free for me when ordering.
He also brought our items to us instead of just calling the number when ready—excellent service.
Star removed since some food items were cold and wrong sauce given, but portions good and flavors as expected. Would have only taken half Star if that was an option.

It's a hot day in Bend and my wife and I decided to get a couple of small ice cream cones as we drove by this location.

HUGE mistake.

For $4.00 each we got a VERY SMALL SOMETHING IN A CONE. IT WASN'T ICE CREAM, for sure. Maybe some ice milk? It was awful and certainly not worth $4.00 each. We'll never go back.

The Bend North Dairy Queen is the worst DQ in the world. The drive through service is horrible; 1 car in front of me and after 11 minutes I drive off with no one answering the speaker. In that time 6 cars behind me had all ready left. This place should be avoided by all and I will never return.

To clairify, the staff did absolutely amazing. The shift manager, the cooks, everyone was great. The food was the freshest I have ever had from a DQ.

The problem is caused by the owner, I know this for a fact as I also own my own business and everything I saw this crew dealing with came back to an owner who is cheap and incapable. They need too increase this crews labor hours so they can have atleast one more person on shift on Sundays during lunch rush, I get that its not a major lunch rush but it was absolutely crazy watching what these three people had to deal with while my family and I were there. Just having a third person to work front counter would have freed up the shift manager to bounce between make tables, registers, drive through and sorting out the list of faults with the equipment he was battling. If they won't increase the labor hours then the franchise owner or district manager needs to put on some gloves and get to work themselves. It is absolutely absurd what this crew was dealing with, it is absolutely 100% abusive what they are being put through.

They were horrendously understaffed, had three people during a lunch rush coupled with several pieces of dysfunctional equipment.

The soda machine was down, the staff told us it had been down for several days, they even got us soda from the drive through machine, asked us how much ice we wanted and they got it right. I even checked and it was plugged in, had power, pumps worked, even dispensed water. The machine itself was just dysfunctional and its a shame its taken the ownership this long to have it addressed.

The point of sale system was extreamley slow and glitchy which isn't caused by the machine itself its caused by the internet connection. Almost seemed as if this store is operating on T-Mobile or version wireless internet. The shift manager pleaded with it several times, was clearly dealing with this for some time. You don't start talking, pleading and begging to store equipment until its put you through the ringer for a few solid hours straight, its human nature, we've all been there.

The store was impeccably clean, the staff was highly active on cleaning this store. They even ended up rather busy on a sunday yet they brought our food to us, they cleaned tables, chairs and the floor very actively.

The shift manager was clearly very stressed, at one point he became a bit irritable towards his staff but very quickly got his emotions under control and then continued working finishing tasks and helping his crew the best he could.

All in all it was very impressive to see how well this crew was working in such a dysfunctional store, the sheer amount of extra work caused by so many dysfunctional pieces of equipment and the fact they were able to handle it with a healthy stride is way beyond commendable. They were not just dealt a hand of garbage, they are absolutely being taken advantage if by the owners of this location and the owners need to step up and be proactive with this location because they do not realize how sturdy and resiliant the crew is and all the ownership is doing is driving them to hate working for them.

Busiest location.
Corporate level is TRYING to kill this store. ...,

If you want this place to stay, stick to the drive-thru, (for Bend's sake, please!)

They put a competent guy in charge, but it's killing him doing everyone's jobs; corporate then refuses to do a staff restructuring to fix team cohesion for this (the busiest) location in Bend, Oregon.

For years.

Wish I could review the food, but the store was closed when I got there. The hours are marked 10am to midnight online and in the app; I put in a mobile order that charged my card and was marked completed, but this location was closed when I arrived. I understand that they can’t be open forever, but I was surprised that the app still allowed and charged for an order at a closed restaurant. The lack of transparency was frustrating.
