Deschutes makes some of my favorite beer. So I was very happy to finally make it to the brewery to experience it straight from the mother teet. 12/10 would drink again. Also, they have killer gear and stickers. Gotta go!

Fantastic place to visit and hang out. They have two of the best food trucks in town (shoutout to Da Nang for having some of the best food in Bend, full stop.) the beer is excellent as well. The Dissonant Sour is my favorite specialty sour, and make for an awesome gift or special occasion bottle. The staff is welcoming and kind, and it’s a great place to swing by for aprés. Honestly one of my very favorite places in Bend.Vegetarian options: The tofu bowl at the Da Nang food truck outside is delicious.

The tour was well worth the $10/person ticket! They start the tour by giving you your choice of 4 varieties of canned beer to enjoy on the tour. The tour guid told us about the history of the brewery, the ingredients and science behind their beers and then walked us through the production area. The only downside was they weren't bottling that day, but that's the way it goes. After the tour, we could finish our beers in the tasting room and sample other varieties. The tour takes about 45 minutes, so is a fun activity that didn't take much time.

I registered for the tour not knowing what to expect. My husband and I had dinner plans with friends later that evening and we had an hour or so to kill. And we like Deschutes beer, so we thought we'd give it a go. The tour was great. Our guide, Kayden, was knowledgeable and fun. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends.

We went to WillieBurger, food truck outside of the brewery, and they were great! Simple and inclusive menu, sweet staff, essentially no wait and great (GREAT) burgers. The guests, kids and us were highly satisfied.

Wow! I gotta confess, as much as I love Deschutes beer, I wasn't really expecting much from the tour because I generally have a "been on one brewery tour, been on them all" attitude. Basically, I was just there for the complimentary can of beer that tour-goers receive. Well, folks, I was wrong! This tour and experience was fantastic all around. From our fabulous tour guide, to a well-organized look inside the inner workings of an iconic PNW brewery, to learning about (and viewing the originals of) some of their legendary beer labels, this tour was 5 stars all around. We started by needing to make a reservation in advance. It's $10/person, which is the first time I've actually paid for a brewery tour. We gathered in their tiny tasting room awaiting the start of the tour, and were then each handed our free beer to carry around on the tour. We started with a brief history of the brewery (and getting to see one of their first brewhouses, where og Deschutes brewing staff lugged HEAVY bags of ingredients up a steep, circular staircase), then wandered through the newer/larger brewery that produces all the favorites (Deschutes Black Butte Porter, I'm looking at you). We saw the very scientific-looking beer tasting area, the giant tanks and hoppers where the beer is created, and even their huge bottling operation (which, sadly for us, was not in operation on this particular Friday because it would have been SUPER cool to see in action).Near the end of the tour, we entered the Deschutes HQ offices and got to see years worth of original artist drawings for their annually-released Jubelale. It was so interesting to hear the stories of how, originally, they commissioned only local artists, then moved on to Oregon artists, and recently opened up the competition to artists across the US.Our tour guide was engaging, informative, and funny. I believe his name was Cayden or Caleb - I am SO horrible with names. Please forgive me. But give this dude a raise (or at least tip him which very few on our tour did). This is a tour I would happily do again!

We had a great time taking your tour. The guide was very informative and answered questions as we went along.
