Waitstaff and service was wonderful! Food was very good. Corn fritters were light and fluffy. Peach and barrata salad was delicious . Pork entree was heavily sauced and buttermilk fried chicken was good comfort food. We liked the neighborhood atmosphere and the location that was easily walkable to downtown activities. Will definitely go again and try the burgers.

Such a great kittle place to eat. There was a rowdy group of folks by the bar that were intruding on our dinner. When the host saw this she asked if we wanted to move and then asked them to move. Such a great response to this situation. Not either ones fault, just a great place and everyone should ants to be there... Thanks for the best chicken dinner!!

Our table was ready and waiting with a cute little sign that said "happy anniversary" on it as that was the occasion for our visit. All the staff that we interacted with were great, the food was awesome as usual. They comp'd our dessert in honor of our anniversary, which was so unexpected and extremely appreciated. Highly recommend Drake-Downtown Bend!

We eat at Drake often when in Bend. Usually I would give it a 5 star rating. This time our service was not good, as in my husband finally retrieved our drinks from the bar after a 30 minute wait, and we saw our server twice.

I haven't eaten in the Drake for a while. Thought we would give it a try after the IN A LANDSCAPE concert. Made a reservation but had to wait outside on the street corner. Not a good start. We did end up with a nice booth. Ordered soft drinks, no cocktails and they took about 20 minutes to get. Opted for the steak dinner special which included a salad. Dinner came, but no salad until after dinner arrived. The food was good, nice steak cooked properly with frites for $19 including a glass of wine and a salad. Seemed like a nice value. The excuse for the delay on the salads and service was the chef was sick? Service was nice but so slow. They did try and make up with one free desert for the three of us.

Great service. Burger was fine. Other entrees - so so: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, potatoes were very runny and bland, the chicken jus was flavorless "oil slick" on the plate. Fried Chicken was good. Salmon special: salmon was good, ridiculous mound of roasted cauliflower and potatoes that were luke warm.

Had a Columbia River King salmon special that was definitely special! It was skewered and grilled perfectly with a salsa on top of tasty grits. Yummy!
The Drake Downtown is a casual, comfortable, and unpretentious spot where the chefs cook with Michelin-level skill. Ownership keeps the focus on what matters: quality food, talented chefs, and great service. I had the scallop special—perfectly prepared, paired, and presented. My wife had the buttermilk fried chicken, hands down the best in the West. We'll be sure to reserve a table every time we visit Bend!

Ordered the mac & cheese as appetizer - was just okay, pretty bland, and had a hair in it :/ Ordered the caesar salad with chicken as the main - $26 for my least favorite caesar salad I’ve ever had. Wouldn’t recommend either item. Cup of water also had debris floating around the bottom. Our waiter was kind, service was fine.
