We recently dined atthe Drake… and although the food was pretty good (not great) the service was lacking. Our waiter was completely uninterested in us, didn’t engage , kept looking out the window when we were addressing him and removed wanted food items from our table without asking first. We had a great dinner here, I thought My Negroni cocktail was superb and I liked the range of what they have on their menu. I had the Manzanita melt, which is their homemade veggie burger, and oh my gosh it was outstanding. We will definitely be returning nice job, Drake!!
Friends who had the fried chicken said it was good. The burger was burned on the outside and overcooked inside. The endive salad was bland and the hazelnuts were rancid. The meatball appetizer was fine. The atmosphere is lively but too loud for a group of 6 to have a conversation. Probably just a misfire for us based on the other reviews.
