El Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant

I don’t care what some reviewers may say about a Mexican restaurant that takes the big boat plate approach, like many corporate restaurants do, but El Rancho Grande is family recipes that look delicious on the plate. The place is colorful Mexican, great vibe and friendly service; I always love the outdoor patio in the Summer.

Hands down, best Carne Asada tacos in Bend. They totally know how to grill the meat perfectly, and has that char broil flavor I remember from living in Arizona for 22yrs, with tons of authentic Mexican food.

El Rancho Grande has always been an excellent experience in all the years I’ve lived in Bend, and I feel spoiled to know they’re just a mile away from me.

Came here on vacation. Food was good, the drinks were just a bit disappointing. The happy hour margaritas are pre batched in a random plastic bottle and it tastes like there’s no tequila at all in them.

Want to pay $80 for four drinks and a ceviche appetizer? Welcome to El Rancho Grande where inflation has fully marinated. The app was deese, nothing to write home about. The drinks were mid. I take offense with a $16 margarita. I could tell you where to get a $5 Paloma in Bend. Sure the service was ok and overall ambience. The price here is driving the three star. Absolutely insane. Our bill should have been half what we paid. I can’t recommend Rancho. Can’t even imagine if we ordered actual entrees. Hundred of dollars. These “pay for the experience” restaurants are getting old. I’d rather eat 100% authentic Mexican food in a dark alley than sit down at these themed attractions. Stop being so greedy Rancho. It’s sickening. Also not sustainable.

The husband and I went for lunch, both ordered off the lunch special part of the menu, Shredded beef tamale plus an enchilada. Was told after the fact that they don't make their tamales, comes in frozen. Husband hot tacos, was also told they do not make their taco shells, comes prepackaged. What a complete bummer...Got the bill, so for 2 lunch plates and 2 iced teas was $55.00 without the tip. Will not be back due to being soooo expensive and the fact of having yucky food, the service was wonderful though.

I was on the go, and happened to drive by the place so I went in. They’re menu was pretty big, I just went with the enchiladas verdes, i was soo disappointed to see that there was no green sauce on themmm, I expected a spicy tomatillo sauce on them. aside from that the food is ok, the chicken was flavorful. the prices seem a bit heavy for what i’m getting though. My family owns a couple of mexican restaurants in Idaho one of them being in a “ luxury” town, and a meal like the one I ordered would be roughly around $17+tax&tip. i spent a total of $30 for once person. the place is in a lovely location and seemed like they had excellent service. I could hear the waiters in the back and seemed like they carried themselves quite well. the Gal who took my ordered seemed like maybe she was a bit on the newer side witch didn’t bother me one bit. we’ve all been there. i tired to order a side of avocado and she said she couldn’t do :( They also seemed to have great alcoholic drinks! maybe definitely worth a shot to stop by for a drink, appetizer, and for the atmosphere

This restaurant is one of my favorites! The food is always amazing and their customer service is the best in Central Oregon! I am always impressed how much professionalism and kindness they show even when they are fully packed! The men in the bar section work very hard and continually check on customers! They are fun, will shake your hand, hug you, and connect with their guests! Customer service in other places has faded away but this restaurant fully understands what makes a business successful! I always leave happy and looking forward to my next visit! I recommend 110%
