El Sancho Taco Shop East Reviews
What happened to this place? Been eating here since 2015 and lately it's gone downhill.
It seems the El Sanch team is phoning it in, or they just don't care. These days we do a lot of pickup orders rather than eating at the Westside location. For the past year or so the team has been making a lot of mistakes on our orders. For every 10 take out orders I place, I'd say 8 of them will have a mistake.

Fantastic street tacos. The cheese tacos from the cart at Crux were exceptional! Cheers!
If you’re in to white people tacos, you’d really enjoy this place but if you’re wanting Mexican food, I’d go somewhere else. Even the beans and rice… jasmine rice prepared with chicken stock and bland black beans. My abuelita would roll over in her grave. I’m inspired to open a taco shop.

El Sancho Taco Shop East is a popular spot in Bend, offering a unique ordering and seating system where guests order before taking their table. The restaurant serves a variety of tacos, including green chile and cheese, chicken, shrimp, and barbacoa, all of which are flavorful. The menu also features great kids options, and the staff is usually friendly and fast. The food comes out quickly, and the restaurant offers a heated patio and indoor seating. The margaritas and beer are highlights, and the chips and guacamole are also popular choices.
Lately, some customers have noticed mistakes in orders, like wrong tacos or missing items, and a few favorite dishes, like the barbacoa tostada, have been removed. Despite this, the tacos remain delicious, and the taco bowl with chorizo is fantastic. The service is generally good, though parking can be tight. El Sancho remains a Bend icon where you can still feed a family affordably.
