The decor is colorful & the patio is nice. We ordered a variety of tacos, chips & salsa, margaritas. It was quite lack luster. The fresh margaritas were bland, the tacos were just okay, for the price we paid everything should have been amazing! We would skip this place knowing this

Is there anything more cringey than when you go to order food on Door Dash and they have menu items to buy their staff drinks. Just a little desperate and tacky.

One of our go-to places for great tacos and decent margaritas. Fun atmosphere and great service. The line to order can sometimes be daunting, but it moves fast.

Excellent tacos. Definitely street size, so its a bit of a premium, but nice quality. The beef Barbacoa was definitely the winner for us.

So glad this location is back open! The remodel looks incredible. The food was amazing as usual. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food runner Reese was the best part of our dinner, making us laugh and helping with everything we needed! Can’t wait to be back

It was pretty warm in Bend the evening we again chose to eat here last week, but their canopies kept the sun off, and overall, it was a great experience! We choose several of the various options for their tacos, and all were delicious! I got two of the pork carnitas and husband also got a pork carnitas, as well as a grilled mahi-mahi, and the Barbacoa (shredded beef) tacos. The chips were good that we ordered along with their salsa. Our order came quickly within 7-8 minutes after we were seated, and the food was nice and hot. You must be prepared to wait in line to order for a short time as there is ALWAYS a line outside waiting, but it is well worth the wait!! AND you get to visit with the very nice people in line! Just behind us were a dad and a darling little girl who told us she was 6, and he said they come here on a regular basis! El Sancho does have a good system where you step forward to order when the green light turns on. Works well!! We will most definitely be back to enjoy their food in the future!

A great hidden gem in Bend with reasonable prices and delicious tacos. You do have to wait in line to order but once in the door you place your order, find a table, and your meal is served to you. We got there early enough in the day so that the line was short and we got a table inside with the colorful walls and murals all around. Staff was friendly and efficient. It was a good find outside of the downtown.

What happened to this place? Been eating here since 2015 and lately it's gone downhill. It seems the El Sanch team is phoning it in, or they just don't care. These days we do a lot of pickup orders rather than eating at the Westside location. For the past year or so the team has been making a lot of mistakes on our orders. For every 10 take out orders I place, I'd say 8 of them will have a mistake. Last time they gave us the wrong kind of tacos (we ordered barbacoa, they gave use chicken). The time before that they left out all the items for my wife, who has some food sensitivities so she can only eat certain items. The time before that they forgot the chips and there was a hair in my food. Tonight, I checked my order before leaving the window out of necessity. Sure enough, they forgot to add an item. So when the girl came over, she seemed annoyed that I was checking the order. And when I pointed out the item they forgot, she went over to the line in a huff and got the missing item. When she brought it back she gave me a dirty look and didn't say anything as she turned and walked away. Like I was the bad guy... In addition the regularly messing up orders, they just removed some of my favorite items off the menu. The barbacoa tostada was my go-to favorite. No more, now it's tostada nada because it's gone. The specials over the past month or two have been lackluster and haven't really changed. All in all, El Sancho has been a Bend icon. You can still feed a family of four for under $50, which is nearly impossible in this day and age. But I hope the ownership team brings it back to its former glory. And although weed is legal in Oregon, maybe start drug testing. I've never seen a restaurant mess up so many orders with such regularity.

This review is for the west side location on Galveston. I used to love it here - tacos were great and it had a great vibe. Unfortunately, that has changed. The staff were super rude and clearly untrained to be working in the service industry. It took way too long to get our meal (well over 20 min) and it is super expensive. Tiniest little margarita I've ever had for $11.
