We weren't expecting there to be so much noise. we kept saying, “this looks like a great place to have a date” when we looked at the outside. On the inside, it's beautiful... but the noise made date night difficult. It was trivia night and the noise from the random sounds and obnoxious music made it difficult to hear my wife and we were all the way on the other side of the restaurant. Not the greatest on a Monday for a date night. We will give it another try in the future since we're locals, just not on a Monday, ever again.. that is.. unless I want a date I can't hear her. On the other side of the coin, the food and the service from the waitress was good. And if we do want to do trivia, now we know of a place where we will never worry about not hearing the question or video playing.

The service and the food were superb! It was a great choice for celebrating our 7th anniversary.

Food was delicious and the service was very good. Music could have been turned slightly lower but at least we could hear our conversations so that was lovely.

Almost a year ago to the day, we visited this restaurant and had a wonderful time. Not the same the second time a round. The waiter seemed inconvenienced by us dining at the establishment and only visited the table twice. Once to take our order and again for us to pay. The food was bland and dry. The staff was poorly dressed. One staff member serving food wearing cargo shorts. With the high prices of the food, the impressive building and beautiful restaurant we expected more effort from them. Definitely going down hill. There are a ton of other restaurants to choose from.

came in for a solo belated birthday dinner, and I don't go out often with my hot girl tummy issues 💅 🥲. my server Morgan was understanding and answered my questions then brought desert with a candle for me. it was really nice and made my evening. wonderful service and the artichokes, steak and pumpkin cheesecake were all amazing.

My comment on the noise level relates to the musician whose singing of songs we have enjoyed in the past reminded me of how much we used to enjoy The Old Mill District when we first came here in 2015. Now it is a hull of its former self. You staff hangs around as if waiting for something to do rather than begin occupied with tasks worth doing, possibly because there are no longer tasks worth doing. You can make this note private for all I care. I am not trying to publicly berate your restaurant, but I must ask how The Old Mill District can revitalize itself if no one makes the effort to restore it to the place it held for the members of out community and newcomers from the past.

Greg's Grill has been one of my favorite restaurants but they missed the mark with last night's dinner. The cocktails were good although the martinis should have been much colder. The beet salad was fabulous with lots of beets and a generous portion. My friend and I ordered the prime rib and it was not great. It was tough and dry so disappointing. The au jus sauce did not help. The service was great and we had a nice table. I will go back but won't order the prime rib.

We walked in on a Tuesday evening asking for a table for five, and the restaurant was completely empty. The host told us it was reservation-only and that they couldn't take walk-ins. When I asked how long the wait might be, she said she didn't know and couldn't give me a timeframe—which left us totally baffled. Feeling a bit disappointed, we started walking around to figure out another spot for dinner. Out of curiosity, I opened OpenTable and saw plenty of available reservations at that same restaurant. So, I booked one for 15 minutes later. I couldn't help but wonder: why hadn't the host just told me that? Did I really need to make an online reservation to be seated in an empty dining room? When we came back with the reservation, I half-jokingly asked why she hadn't been able to seat us earlier. She shrugged it off, saying her iPad must have been broken, then seated us right away. The whole exchange felt strange—almost dismissive—and it really set a sour tone for the evening. The food and service themselves were fine, but nothing special. Honestly, I've been here before and had a much better experience, so maybe this was just an off night. Still, that first interaction with the host left us feeling unwelcome and confused.

We decided to eat in the bar at Greg's Grill last night for their happy hour menu. Service was great but the menu has slimmed down to basic pub food. The sweet potato fries were excellent but the applesauce dip is not great, the sriracha aioli that use to be served with them was much better. The seared ahi was good, but the side veggies did not really come together and the serving of tuna was super small. The Halloumi was over cooked and tasted like fish, not good at all. Overall the food options and taste of the food has declined since Covid. Drinks were great and service was also.

I use to like Greg’s grill. The location is nice, it’s right next to the river. But the food and prices are not super great. Kinda average overpriced food with a view. Not what you would want when you’re going to such a beautiful location. The service is terrible too. I just ordered some happy hour nachos. It took almost 2 hours to get them and they were soggy but the time they came. I was kinda just wanting a nice place to have a cocktail and people watch so the food wasn’t priority. They need to up their game needless to say.

Small menu, but out of a couple things we ordered. How do you keep a small menu and run out of inventory on a Thursday night.

Booked a table outside during the Alabama Shakes concert and had such an amazing time. Having a glass of wine and dinner here with a good friend or two is always a highlight of my Summers here in Bend. It was my first time to Gregs grill this summer and I had Charlie as my server. She was such a sweetheart and made the evening that much more enjoyable for my friend and I. I usually come once or twice a year, but her service was so impeccable (a rarity these days) that I will have to potentially become a regular here!

The river is the only redeeming thing about Greg’s Grill. As a local, I can say that you’re better off going pretty much anywhere else. The food is overpriced and very mediocre. My steak sandwich was $27, dry, and lacking any kind of creative toppings. A Jimmy John’s sandwich would have been tastier. Tip the staff well, since they have to work hard to make up for the abysmal food.

Always get great food and great service here, went last week and forgot my phone but I just got around to remembering. They have great nachos, great asparagus and great apetizers!

What can I say, Greg's Grill has great atmosphere, on the Deschutes river. I do like coming here more for drinks. The food is okay on occasions. Last night my group ordered two ribeye steaks, one medium rare and the other medium. They both came out extremely rare and should have been sent back. Their burgers are, what can you say a burger, nothing special. Drinks and appetizers are always good. I will return based on the atmosphere and good drinks and appetizers.
