McKay Cottage Restaurant

This place is amazing. I’ve had their breakfast burrito and breakfast hash both were awesome. But their sticky buns and lattes are top notch too. This place is a “must visit” when you’re In Bend.

Most Bendites know McKay as the gold standard for local breakfast. They compete with the Victorian Cafe for top honors in that regard. Not only is everything on the menu tasty at McKay, but there's LOTS of it, the staff has always been courteous to me, and the atmosphere feels homely and inviting.

The staff are simply the best.The food creative, tasty looks great.Their bakers also, and the pecan cinnamon bun, or sticky bun is incredible.I'll have eight.There is breakfast.Went there one time had to come back.The next day, thank you.Everybody at the restaurant that works there.

We eat here at least once when we visit Central Oregon. The service is always top-notch and the food, particularly their scones is delicious.

I will say, I don't love the tent outside but understand that it allows so many more people to visit and enjoy their food and great service! I will always accept eating outside in the tent if there is no room inside because they do keep it warm.
And must note that during summer, eating outside is fabulous!

Very average place. We came here because the relatively high reviews, but the food was very okay.
Lacked flavor, a bit dry, but the orange juice was good.
Also, for breakfast, it was pricey

It was a stressful Monday, and my husband and I were pressed for time. Rachel made our day so much better. She was friendly and helpful, we were served quickly, and even got coffee to go and warm chocolate chip cookies. Highly recommend.

We had a great time in the patio, around the brazier. The food was great, we just had to wait a bit. We recommand to call before going, super good !

One of the best brunches we have ever had. The service was astounding. I got the Chicken Hash Stack and it was superb. My wife had the Cobb Salad and she was equally impressed. A little pricey, but the quality, taste and portion size make up for it.

Had a nice brunch here. Was seated immediately and ate in the heated tent. Coffee was good. Had the Baha Chicken Hash Stack (a sort of huevos rancheros/eggs benedict hybrid), which should have been amazing, but the salsa everything was sitting on was oddly sweet and not worth eating. But, everything above the tortillas wasn't touching the sweet salsa, so I still was able to enjoy it. Anyway, I'd happily come again, but give a different menu item a try.

McKay's Cottage is one of the true gems of bend. The food is so good the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is exceptional. I highly recommend this for breakfast. It's our family's go-to breakfast location.
