Food and drinks: We were there for dinner. I had bangers and mash.
I wish I knew I had to bring my own towels when I went to the soak. It’s a popular spot for sure! If you’re looking for reservations and nothing is open, keep trying, they’re really good about updating last min openings.

Another great McMenamins location.
In pub bar. First time there. 2 bartenders very unfriendly. Kept asking us about food order. Decided against as photos of beverages didn't arrive as shown. Once we told them no food. Left is alone.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was mediocre at best.
The gravy on my bangers and mash tasted like it was out of a bottle, salty, heavy, and bland except for the salt. The banger was almost flavorless, but the mashed potatoes were fine.
The onion rings were way over cooked and sparce in quantity.
The fish on the fish and chips was tiny and totally overcooked. My friend sent it back and ordered a medium rare burger that came out cinder overcooked.

Location was perfect, not serving lunch until 2pm was a bit weird. Service at the outdoor area right next to the entrance was not the best but was average. Food was ok, drinks were good, atmosphere was wonderful. Once we found the cigar lounge area all was significantly much better. Love that it was dog friendly through the majority of the location.

We stay at Mcmenimans all the time. As Bend locals it is our favorite stay-cation spot. I want to say that the fact we never posted a positive review is a miss on our part but this listing does carry a consumer warning I really want to share. Also, I am directly sending this message as a review so they can receive the feedback as well. My husband was doing some construction work on the bathroom so my four year old and I decided to get out of the noise and mess and stay a night at our fave spot. We like to book a room with a patio so we can eat our breakfast outside and that is an extra charge of like $20-40. Our room was 1106 in the art house. It was probably one of the loudest rooms I have ever stayed in a hotel. The building is the one that the Broom Closet bar is in and the heavy door slammed nonstop till midnight. I finally got my four year old to sleep at 11pm and then ran to the front desk to get some earplugs. The front desk said he gets complaints nonstop about the room across the hall being loud (1101 I think it was). Right after I got back to the room they brought the glass recycling down from the bar and the loud glass crash woke up my son. He started crying so hard that he puked cheeseburger all over our bed. Probably one of the worst nights of my life. I had to drag him out of the bed and shower him and clean the whole room so it didn’t stink. I stripped the bed and put our wet towels down from the pool over the nasty hotel mattress because I was just too tired to walk up front for new sheets. Thank goodness I got a room with a patio because that gave me somewhere to put all the vomit (so much for paying extra so we could eat breakfast on the patio!) We passed out hard around 0130 on our way towels. Just as I feared though, at 7 the door started slamming again and we were wide awake…On the way to breakfast I stopped and said something to the front desk girl, she said she would send the cleaners down with clean sheets at 0930 when they arrived which would have been great because when you have a tired and cranky four year old, mornings don’t move fast. They never came. Usually my kid sleeps from 8pm-830am. We are well versed in staying in hotels and do it all the time. On top of that this is the absolute first time I have ever seen my kid vomit. For him to cry so hard he threw up would have been unimaginable for me the day before. We intended to spend the day next day hiking smith rock or biking dry canyon, instead we had to head straight home to the construction site of a house to watch movies and nap all day. We already have another reservation in place in July for a few nights for my husband’s birthday…IDK, we will see how it goes…we have had mostly positive experiences but if room 1106 was our first time I would be warning everyone to never stay here. I really think they could fix that door to make it not slam if they actually wanted to. In the mean time the rooms 1101 and 1106 are uninhabitable except to the hardest sleepers. Extremely disappointed in the whole experience and the lost day as well as the 2-3 days following it takes a four year old to catch up on sleep when they get this thrown off.
When we checked out they did give us 20% off which brings the cost for one night down to $197.57. I absolutely do not think that was worth it. This wasn’t the last hotel room in bend and we could have stayed somewhere so much more relaxing for half the cost.
Should have staggered pool hours that are kid free it's a soaking pool for relaxation they were splashing and yelling non stop or at bare minimum explain to parents the rules before entering because they clearly don't read them

Really great food and drinks. Service was a little shabby though

I think that if you are staying 2 nights they should make the beds and change yours.

Food and drinks: We only went there for the restaurant. The food was wonderful no issues. Not exceptional, but no complaints. Certainly a place we would visit again.
The front of the house staff is friendly. But that’s about all I can give this place.
Staying here is definitely an experience. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel front desk staff were professional and friendly and very knowledgeable. After we checked in and got our stuff into our room (#6) we went to have dinner at The Pub. The music playing over the speakers was a bit loud, which made having conversation during dinner a little difficult. The waiter was nice but not very helpful when it came to my questions about items on the food and drink menu. The food was decent, we had a pizza and Cajun tots. After dinner we went exploring. We walked across the parking lot to the other buildings to find the hidden rooms and bars. That was a lot of fun. I liked that they allow you to take your drink from building to building on the property. After a visit to the Broom Closet (no cleaning supplies in this one) we went back to our room and enjoyed the double bathtubs in our room (yes, you read that correctly, two separate bath tubs). After a nice soak, it was time for bed. The mattress was awful. So old and uncomfortable. You could literally feel every spring in this thing. I even tried laying on the couch in our room half way through the night to get comfortable. My back hurt for two days after we stayed here. In the morning we door dashed some coffee and then my husband walked down the hall to The Pub and ordered us breakfast to take back to the room. The breakfast was pretty good, I had eggs Benedict and hash browns. Overall the property was nice. It’s not a 5 star luxury hotel, it’s more of an experience. The only thing I would change is the bed, they really need to update the mattresses. Price was very reasonable ( we stayed mid week so not sure what weekend prices are).

The food at mcmenamins Is terrible for the price. The atmosphere Is great just don't eat there.
Joshua was Wonderful and very busy.
As for the cook and the person helping Joshua, hot drinks were luke warm at Best, 2 hamburger buns were burnt, Fries and tator tots cold. Joshua took care of all he could and was really apologetic. The cook needs to be aware of what he is serving.
