I decided to try out Mio Sushi finally and I was pleasantly surprised with the food. I ordered the bento box with spicy chicken and spicy tuna roll. The woman who took my order was very kind and I received my order in about 10 minutes. Granted, there was only 1 other table (roughly 2:30pm) so I will have to return for dinner to compare. However, portions, flavor, and quality were all perfect for me this time!

We've been going to Mio sushi when we first moved to Bend in 2019. At the time, sushi was good, but more expensive than what we were used to living in cities on both coasts, but it was decent.

Over the years, we've seen a slow decline in quality of the food. My last dining experience was it for me. Along with sushi , I ordered their ramen, which was just about the worst ramen I've had. I suspect the ownership is cutting corners to save cost with the quality of food.

The restaurant is in a prime location and it's fortunate to get the foot traffic though with subpar sushi and better options around, I hope the owners will take note that location is no substitute for quality of the food.

Would give zero stars if possible. Food was extremely mediocre, lukewarm and not fresh. Bad food for way too much money. You can tell it had been sitting out for awhile even though the restaurant was basically empty. The waitress did not greet us upon entry and sat us as a sticky table. She threw our menus on the table, also sticky and covered in food stains. We ordered and waited for our food. She brought our miso soup out first, it was half full and she spilt it on the table trying to set it down quickly and walk away. We attempted to eat the food and watched her turn away a group of eight girls because she didn’t want to split their checks and a father and son because they came in the wrong door. After asking for the check and deciding not to tip her, she asked why we didn’t tip. We proceeded to say that we didn’t appreciate her attitude towards us and other people. She told us we would receive bad karma for not tipping her. As we were walking away she called my mom stupid and when she asked what she said, she stormed off and said “nothing”. We will definitely not be back.

I got my food first and my friend didn’t get it and we waited an hour trying to be patient since we saw they were busy and once we let them know about her dish they said they “forgot”

Love this place, we go often it has become a family night staple, love the gal who seats and helps in the kitchen has darker hair we just adore her shes in her 60s and looks/works likes shes in her early 30s fun and bubbly, there is an older gentleman that works there as well always wears a hat brings our kids suckers everytime we go very friendly family atmosphere and great food. We will continue to support this restaurant. 🍱🙌

My best friend and I have been going to Mío for about 8 yrs or so now and have had no problems until this last time. Our server first came up to our table and didn’t specify if we were ready for drinks or food so I told her I wanted a lemonade and two small lemonades for my kids. She proceeded to look at me like I was from a different planet and said we don’t have lemonade, only ramunes. Again I’ve been here before and most definitely have gotten a lemonade, I repeated myself and she laughed and went to get a Ramune to show me so I just said we’ll take some waters. She then came with our waters and my California roll and forgot our little dishes for soy sauce AND plates. When the cook came out to give us our gyoza we asked him for plates and the mini dishes since our server was no where to be seen. She then took our plates and came with the check and I paid with card, she stood over me to see if I would tip and it was horrible service so I didn’t tip her and she then threw the receipt on the table. I guess it’s now time to find a new sushi place because I will not be coming back, which is unfortunate since we have been coming here since we were kids. Place has definitely changed.

I ordered a pickup. Told food was ready. When I get there no food. And really bad customer service, just no attempt at all to try to resolve the situation. I have always liked the food, such a shame, I will never go back.

Food is totally different from before, it is not good. What happened to this place? No quality control and recipes are different. Absolutely no service, after our sushi arrived, we had no dishes! I had to walk around other tables to get little soy sauce dishes. They are totally different restaurant from 6months ago, different chef for sure! If food was even close to similar, I would kept my moth shut but I had no reason to come back here anymore, so I mentioned to server lady about it and her response was not good.

2025 Update: Worst food I've ever eaten in Bend. Fish was not fresh and very fishy tasting. A $30 Spicy Chirashi also had only 2 to 3 ounces of fish at most. Not recommended.

We used to come here all the time and they had the best service and amazing food. The service is now TERRIBLE and the food awful. The waitress demands tips and it’s so uncomfortable. I will never return unless management/ownership changes hands. Do not recommend.

I went in to pick up a call in order about 10 minutes before closing. Again, it was a call-in order so I wasn't asking to be seated. The woman who was working did not greet me. Had a rude tone. Told me that I could not order because they were closed. She was generally impolite and unfriendly. Ive been a loyal customer at Mio for over a decade and when Alice was there, service was great quality! I really used to enjoy this place but I've heard they are very short staffed and obviously lacking in customer service these days. These days it feels like they don't want the business as you are treated as an inconvenience from the time you enter. Also, the prices online are not what they charged me when I got to the restaurant to pick up my order. My order cost more than it was supposed to cost based on the prices online when I ordered. I would have given less stars but the food is always quite decent. The chefs are not the problem....

Horrible place to eat. Food is not good, and the old Korean lady that gives service is rude and does not serve well. Then she demands tips for no service. They over charge every time, do not eat there

Our server was friendly & cheerful. Food was good, portion in smaller side. Bit strange that the Asian female mgr/staff gave us the bill b4 we finished, we paid & tipped well, she didn't say thx & didn't even notify our server we paid, so server asked us to pay when we were leaving. Bit awkward.
