New York City Sub Shop - Midtown Bend

Ive been going here since they were first opened. The last couple of times have been just ok. Now i was craving a bronx and had been a year so why not! Just an awful experience. The workers were rude and heard the F word about 15x while i waited. Was going to leave a cash tip so i only tipped 1$ on card because i know cash is better and got a sigh and i said thanks and he walked away saying nothing. Had a 5$ tip for my 21$ sandwich that i threw away. Meat was rock hard bread was soaked and filled with stale lettuce. Just a real bummer to a place that used to rock…

I have been wanting a cheesesteak sense moving to the bend area 5mon ago. The Cheesesteak I got today was Not the best, But not the worst. Good flavor on the steak, Provolone cheese. on a great Texture roll. Mediocre at best. The Cashier suggested The Local Cheesesteak cart which made me think maybe he didn't Like the Cheesesteak they served so much. I will be trying a different item off the menu in the future. Hopefully a bit better on the delivery of flavor profile.

Okay so I'm leaving five stars because I love this place. Especially the pastrami sando but I have to vent. The steak sandwich is trash.... There is no world in which putting lettuce tomoto and mayo is okay on a steak sando. I will say no more!

I lived in bend for 14 years and had never eaten a sandwich from there. Just ate there for the first time and had a cheesesteak sandwich. It was delicious! Wasn’t the low quality subway style sandwich I was expecting. I’ll be a lunch regular there from now on. Quick and affordable.

Love the sandwiches. For years my go-to hot sandwich is the Bronx. Bread is excellent and all the ingredients are good quality. I wish it didn't cost so much, but I won't downgrade it for that. The service staff was very nice.
