McMenamins Pub at Old St. Francis School

We had a really disappointing experience with an online order. My order receipt said pick up at 9:32 but when we arrived to get the order all the doors were locked with no indication of where to go. Ended up going next door to get some information. The staff there were friendly and told us it wasn't ready yet but we could take a seat and wait. No indoor seating was available so we waited outside for an additional 25 minutes. When we did get our food at 9:57 it ranged from cold to barely above room temperature like it had been ready and just sitting since the original pick up time. They did not give us the 2 drinks we ordered. At this price point I expected a lot better.

Love this chain of restored and amazing reuse of old buildings theatets, historic hotel and schools.

Upon arrival we were politely greeted by the host and we asked if we could have an 2 person table next to the bar, as the bar did not have 2 seats together. We were just looking to stop in for a quick minute to get a beer and an app. The host stated that we could have the booth and that would be fine for us to sit there. Unfortunately, as we were at the booth not even 1 minute, the server for that section, a young brunette gal, stated that if we were not eating that the table was for dining customers and not for bar customers. We had let her know that we just wanted a drink and the host had given us the “okay.” We asked if we could stay there and the server replied that it would be best if we moved. Again, the bar did not have two seats together, so all in all we just left. I guess their loss on our business. Seems to be a popular place and had an awesome old time atmosphere.
Just hope it’s better service if we ever go back.

We had a birthday party for my girlfriend here and I must say the servers didn't miss a Beat. The food is always excellent as well as the drinks atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone for dinner for celebration or night out with your significant other period and after that take a nice walk around our beautiful town and just relax you'll be glad you did

I almost don't even want to share what a gem of a place this is for fear it will get overrun and I won't get a good couch for a movie. Lol Food, drinks, ambiance; all superb.
