The service was very quick and friendly! The Tahitian dream crepe was the best crepe I’ve ever had- everyone’s food was delicious and the portions were huge, definitely coming back!

A good breakfast place. Huge selection of menu choices. When we go, we do that on Tuesdays which is senior discount day... -10%. Not much, but as cheap old folks, it is the principle that counts.

Best pancakes in town.

I came to The Pancake House with modest expectations—just a decent stack of pancakes and a quiet morning bite. What I received instead was a masterclass in mediocrity, served with a side of hostility.

Let’s start with the food: the pancakes were, to their credit, slightly above average. Nothing groundbreaking, but enjoyable enough. Unfortunately, that faint glimmer of culinary competence was immediately overshadowed by the rest of the meal. The eggs were nearly inedible, the sides tasted like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp since dawn, and the presentation was utterly uninspired.

But what truly made this visit unforgettable—for all the wrong reasons—was the service. Our server, whom I won't name but is unmistakable in both presence and demeanor, greeted us with a condescending attitude that quickly soured the entire experience. Menus were snatched, questions were answered with passive-aggressive tone, and every small interaction felt like an imposition on her time. It was as if being seated at a table was a personal affront to her. Only at the end, when tips were on the line, did she attempt to conjure some semblance of friendliness—far too little, far too late.

I get it—working in hospitality can be thankless, and not everyone in this line of work is passionate about service. But there’s a difference between having a bad day and making sure every guest around you knows it. This was the latter, and it was impossible to ignore.

Unless you’re ordering takeout and can avoid any interaction whatsoever, I’d strongly recommend steering clear. There are too many places that actually respect their patrons—and themselves—to waste time or money here.

Pretty busy little place. Took an hour and a half to get seated. Food was food.

Fantasy place to eat, if you're having a cheat day on your diet! Or if you wake up early and need to eat. Fresh squeezed OJ is a perfect starter..

Decent diner. Crepes where good and portions are good.

worst experience ever. the server wasn’t hardly there but that wasn’t even the issue, the hostess was the issue. there’s a sign that says if you split checks no matter what there’s a 20% gratuity added, this sign is hidden underneath another sign! the receipt only says 20% is added for tables 5 or more and we weren’t 5 people, so we talked to the hostess about it. she only said 20% is added for split checks and also custom to the server and we were confused as in why, she refused to explain why and proceeded to say “tipping 20% is standard anyways” and i told her i work at a restaurant as well and it’s 15% plus up to the customer. she then proceeded to say that if i worked at a restaurant i should “know what to tip then.” after some back and forth she finally showed me the sign under the sign, i told her why wouldn’t she just allow us to make the two checks into one, and she proceeded to say “i can put them into one since you’re making such a big deal about it.” never coming back that hostess was so unbelievably rude and terrible customer service. if she would’ve just been nicer about it i would’ve understood but she was just being passive aggressive about it.

Two stars because the portions were large but this food was entirely flavorless. I'm not sure if the kitchen staff have been told to not put salt in the food but we couldnt pick it up. We had to cover it all with hot sauce to taste anything.

If you don't care about seasoning on your food then you'll get a large amount of it here but otherwise I wouldn't recommend this place. I've brought it up to some locals and they all say that this chain has gone downhill recently.

Delicious, inviting, and low-key breakfast and brunch spot in Bend! They are often very busy due to their reputation for great food. And can one say fresh squeezed orange juice! Plus, they bting individual warm syrups rather than just putting a regular syrup bottle in front of you--not many places do that. I 10/10 recommend The Original Pancake House in Bend!

The food was so good! We got the gluten free pancakes with chocolate chips and ones with bacons and the pig in a blankets and had no problems as a celiac! The staff were arguing in the back so that was awkward and u professional but the food was great at least!
