Even though a different restaurant told us, "It's the end of season, our patio is closed," Pastini was more than happy to let us sit out on their patio with our dog. They offered to turn on the fire for us and a bowel of water for our dog.

This is the second Pastinis I've been to and had the lasagna at both locations and I love the consistency of the quality of food and service. Brook our server was friendly and took our orders quick and our meals came out quick and were hot and tasty.

This is a good restaurant, but they don't have enough servers and no bartender. They don't take reservations so we waited almost an hour. If you are a large party, this is not the place to go.

Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I loved the spaghetti carbonara.
Dietary restrictions: Pastini's offered great gf options. ( The have ziti and spaghetti gluten free that can be switched out on quite a few meal choices.

Excellent food. It was our final meal with our son before we left him at culinary school. So momma was very emotional. It was a nice time.

We sat outside since the weather was still nice for the middle of October. Everything was great.

I feel very conflicted about this review. The food was honestly delicious - well made and tasted fresh so I really can’t rate it any lower than a 3. My issues lie in a few other aspects. For one, the portion size was very very small. I will say, I ordered take out, so I’m not sure if perhaps they just give you a much smaller portion when you’re not eating there for some reason but it was not even close to enough to fill me up eating the whole dish. For ~$20 you’d expect at least a meal sized portion of pasta. I also ordered and paid for a side of Al fredo sauce and garlic bread which I did not receive, but by the time I realized I was home 25 minutes away. Disappointed with the take away but I might try to go back and eat in sometime since the food was so well tasting.
Note, I don't give many 1 stars. I usually don't rate on one visit. However this is based on their culture at Bend location.
It was an hour to get our food, I understand that is not service staffs fault. Was there an issue with food? Order? I have no idea as out waitress, who was working hard never said anything.
It started with water, we had to ask up front because we never got water. Drinks were slow to show up. The bread showed up 35 to 40 mins in.
When we mentioned to one manager, they said they would look into it. My wife thought food had.to be just sitting there, as we witnessed table after table get their food that were seated after us. We were only a table of five.
I thought there was just an issue in the back, no big deal it happens.
When food finally did arrive, an hour after we ordered, it was not "hot" lasagna is usually so hot, you burn your tongue. But eat it anyway. It was not. It wasn't cold, but it was nit hot.
My father in law complained to a different manager, and our waitress offered no explanation nor apology.
When billed show you, nothing either.
Reason for one star, was service, waitress was working hard but no empathy for an hour rate. When we voiced our concerns to, two different managers, no explanation, no apology...nothing. After reading other reviews I see this is their culture at this location. I did not expect excellent food at a mall chain, i did not expect 5 star service either, but I did expect some service.
Will never, ever go to this spot again, there are too many better choices in the area.

I ordered take out, so I'm sure it's even better at the restaurant. The spicy shrimp pasta was very good. The pasta was al dente and there were plenty of shrimp. I wouldn't have called it spicey, so next time I'll all for extra red pepper. The broccolini was also very good.

Solid Pastini location in a nice part of town. In terms of menu, it's like any other Pastini, offering a vast variety of pasta and other Italian dishes. I love the soups that they offer, which change every day. Compared to some of the other locations in the Portland metro area, I personally think that the quality and consistency of meals here is better, though the interior of the restaurant itself has a pretty average atmosphere. Service is nice and efficient in terms of speed.

Place is pricey, we had to wait even right before closing. You need to ask for bread if you want it. Very noisy. Wait staff really nice.
