We were in Bend with our son and daughter in law when they suggested going to San Simon “in an alley” for drinks before dinner. What a totally fun experience. Yes, it is in an alley, (thank you city of Bend), and has some super-cool outdoor seating. Go there to see it. Serving us was Claire and she definitely brought the cool San Simon vibe to our experience. Drinks, laughs and giggles were shared all around and we felt totally at home in the bar. Claire was on top of checking in and approved when I asked her if we could leave Ginger hanging from the shot glass. It was great to see a funky side of Bend as opposed to the brand new high-end establishments.

Cool establishment, fun drink menu. However, the two male bartenders working late last night were very unwelcoming and not friendly. My husband and I each had one drink at the bar top and left. Such an uncomfortable experience.
Beautiful ambience. Really good service and cocktails. Would be back everytime in Bend

First time in tonight after I took a chance and strolled down this alley. Outstanding service and cocktails here! Try the mezcal paper plane!

Cool and interesting cocktails, great vibes and friendly staff. Sat at the bar on a Saturday night and it was such a great time. Just feels like a place that you feel welcome. The two cocktails I ordered were both complex and well balanced.

Love the friendly staff! Music on Friday night was fantastic.. such talent. I had the tamales and they were tender and so flavorful with the pork. Their homemade hot sauce was one of the best in Bend. We will be back.
Awesome, cozy cocktail bar with some snacks to accompany. Excellent, welcoming service.

Incredible drink menu. Don’t be a basic tourist and ask for something you think is better. Trust the place you choose to visit. Delicious charcuterie, genuine staff.

The staff tried to be funny and chastise our party when we asked to customize our drink order. I get it;they have high end mixologist concocted drinks that are delicious. However, not everyone wants a rum drink with pineapple and orange juice with herbs, bitters and other things. Sometimes, you want a classic rum and coke, or a a glorified well drink. It would be great if they served it without asking if we were from the Midwest (true story).
Cool alley location, with a great, and diverse customer base. Seems like they should allow people to order whatever they want as long as they are spending cash and trying to enjoy and respect their business.

Came here for Mai Tais but unfortunately they were out of orgeat. The bartender apologized to our table personally with free mini shots of his specialty rum drink, which was delicious. Our other drinks were good as well. We will be back for Mai Tais or to their sister bar (Flamingo Room) where they apparently make all their orgeat.
