This is the best modern day Schlotzsky’s in the country. It’s a much better sandwich than what Schlotzsky’s is serving in Texas and Missouri.

Schlotzsky's has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat, so much so that I find myself eating there 1-2 times a week. Their sandwiches are delicious (I love the fiesta turkey) and so are their pizzas and soups. The owner is frequently there, working with his employees and everyone is always kind.
We've eaten here several times and the food has been very good but today was a different story. The bread was stale and the meat was so full of gristle that I couldn't finish it.

We got checked into our Airbnb and decided to DoorDash Schlotzsky's, because we don't have one where we live. We ordered the Chicken avocado Cobb salad, Cheese pizza,Italian calzone,Chicken bacon ranch calzone,Bacon Smoke cheesy sandwich, and everyone enjoyed their food. Lots of flavor and fresh produce for the salad. The herbs in the calzone were really good.

Got my takeout order completely wrong, when I went back to get it fixed the door was locked at 8:20pm. Obviously customer service is not their strong suit - Hours optional.

Ruben was really NOT a Ruben. Meat seemed as if it had been hanging around a bit too long. Sauerkraut was bland and soggy. Cheese was some sort of white processed cheese, not Swiss. Dressing tasted like generic "fry sauce" and not Thousand Island. Bread was dry and crisp on one side, soft and papery on the other. Pickle was canned pickle spear, nothing resembling a Kosher pickle. Add to that a cashier who barely communicated even when asked a question. I asked for a cup for some water, Zero response to my request, he just tossed a Styrofoam cup on the counter.

Was sick Swung here for some soup . Drive thru menu states soup with garlic bread 4.90 . I order my soup get home there is no garlic bread . Call the store the staff informs me garlic bread is upon request otherwise you get crackers . I said I am sorry your menu clearly states soup with garlic bread . No where does it say upon request or you get crackers . They didn't care just said sorry and hung up . Again menu does NOT state per request . States Soup with Garlic Bread
Not sure why I keep going there and keep ordering the Chicken Avocado salad. It's usually missing either the chicken or the avocado. I tried again today, salad had chicken and avocado, yes! But NO FREAKING dressing! Why is this so hard??!

The were fantastic when they first opened. As years have gone by the sandwich bread of old and hard, there is half the amount of meat and garnishments . If you order a Reubens sandwich the accompanied doll pickle is cut from a pickle that has been sliced 8 times at least. We have continued to try them off and on, but if they can improve we may go more often, if not I guess we will have to look for somewhere else to go.

When did putting on your makeup and taking selfies become more important than customer service?! Just went through the drive up at Bend Oregon 2 of the workers at the window thought their looks were more important?

Love this place but dang…. Gave me clam chowder instead of loaded baked soup, super bland too, no salt and no spoon. Made the pastrami on the wrong bread. Maybe they gave me the wrong order… meat and size was right at least. Make sure to check your order. I hate to be the guy that sits there and does a quality check but that might be the play here.
