We love eating here and so do our 2 young kids. They are so sweet to our family. The food comes out SO quick, which is perfect for toddlers. The fish is fresh and well prepared. We’ve eaten sushi at the finest establishments on the west coast and in Japan, and sushi at Shinsei never disappoints. And again, the service is kind and thoughtful.
Visiting from nyc and I’ve had plenty of omakases before - the quality of fish here blew my mind. Stand outs were tuna (akami), salmon belly, and UNI. Outstanding service. Cant wait to come back next time in Bend

I have been here dozens of times over the last decade, and the service is always great - as is the food. It’s not cheap (but fresh sushi really shouldn’t be in Central Oregon) but also not overpriced like other sushi restaurants in town, and I have never once been dissatisfied or had a bad meal...
