The main server is fantastic. He is knowledgeable, sweet, and honest. He does not steer you wrong.
The chowder was 10/10. The scallops are the same. I wish the salmon was as good, slightly dry and somewhat fishy . The creme brulee was lovely, light, and creamy.

This was my first time at South Bend Bistro,it was so much fun. I was greeted by Cully and David. The restaurant is very nice and intimate. I quickly ordered a Dirty Martini followed by an appetizer. I had the crab cakes which were amazing. Followed by a Cesar salad and the pork chop for my entree. I have been to bistros before and it was usually good food, small portions and high prices. Not the case here at SBB. The portions were very satisfying and the prices are very reasonable! The service is empecable and I will definitely be back!! Thanks Cully and crew!!

First rate food and service. Everything was excellent. Salmon was fully cooked but still moist and soft inside, a hard to achieve balance. Clam chowder was amazing. Pasta with sausage was surprisingly spicy, in a good way but I could not taste the truffle. Entrees were $30-45.

This is my favorite restaurant. I've liked everything I have had and catch myself dreaming about the food for days after visiting. David had given us great service and is very nice. I would highly recommend all to try this restaurant.

This was the best meal we have had in Sunriver (and probably in Bend). My wife ordered the pork chop in a cherry sauce. I had the duck breast glazed with huckleberry sauce served over polenta. Both our entrees were excellent and well-prepared. Our server was friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the wine list. Overall a great experience.

Exceptional experience as always. Absolutely nothing that wasn't wonderful. Well one small personal one, wish their butter was soft. But far too many restaurants fail in this. Great drinks, brie was incredible & our entrees were all top-notch. Their filet is among the best steakhouses anywhere. The duck scrumptious. Scallops unique in their brown sugar sauce & so tasty.

We love south bend bistro! It is our favorite spot in Sunriver and it never disappoints- the staff is always so friendly, the service is impeccable, and we have never had a bad meal (or cocktail) at this restaurant.

We love going to dinner at South Bend Bistro. We tend to sit at the bar and enjoy the banter with Cully & David. Cully is a creative mixologist and enjoys making fun cocktails and David is the wine guy with great knowledge. The food is delicious, we have several favorites.

First time at this restaurant, we were very happy with the visit. Started out with a great cocktail and appetizer. Then ordered an excellent Pinot Noir, two entrees, and shared a salad. Too full for dessert, we took a creme brulee home for later. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. Service was impeccable, and a nice cozy relatively quiet atmosphere. We will return!

When I come to Sunriver for a week, South Bend Bistro is my favorite place to eat. I usually go twice! Everything is fabulous, from the presentation of the food, the flavor combinations, the smiling waiters and the deck on a sunny evening. I highly recommend it!

Phenomenal food, everything we ordered was wonderful! Staff was friendly, nice comfortable non-pretentious place. Price was very reasonable for the high quality of the food. Will definitely be back! Try the clam chowder if they have it, best I've had!

It was a very disappointing experience. The service was slow and when the food came, the pork chops were very overdone. When paying $40 for an entree, I expect it to be perfect and it was far from that. We did let the waitress know and they took 20% off the bill, which they should have but even that didn't cure the bad experience.

This was a fine option. However, relative to the price and overall attempt at fine dining the food is just OK. We had the baked brei and crab cakes. Both were good. The crab cakes were stand out. Our table also had the truffle rage, salmon, filet mignon and duck breast. The truffle rage was unimpressive, watery and not very flavorful with regards to truffle. Unsure if there was any truffle at all. The filet mignon was good. The duck breast was ok, but small, perhaps half a duck breast for over 40 dollars. The salmon was mediocre and the sides (risotto and Asparagus) were both over done. The wait staff were good. And wine selection was great. Ambiance was good. Just kind of a mid showing for the price point. Maybe what you get in a resort setting with limited options.
