The service was great and local special was good but it would be preferable if the description had included the fact that the sauce over the white fish was very spicey/hot. Rather a surprise for white fish — and some people have a low tolerance for spicy hot food (including me). The waiter gave me some crème fresh which was helpful but a head's up would have been nice.

The new owners have made some nice improvements. The atmosphere is upscale and comfortable. I had the ling cod special, my husband had the filet mignon and our son had the truffle pasta. All were great! Topped it off with desserts (creme brule, lemon blueberry cheesecake and chocolate mousse), which was also phenomenal. If you're looking for a higher end meal with great service and atmosphere, you won't be disappointed.

South Bend Bistro was outstanding... the menu has soemthing for everyone and all at a very high quality preparation and presentation. The servers were well educated on their offerings and friendly. Will definitely be back when in Sunriver... can't miss any restaurant that offers Silver Oak by the glass!

Had another amazing experience at South Bend Bistro. The staff are very courteous and friendly. We were greeting promptly and seated. Cully came and took our drink order. I had one of the best dirty Martinis on the planet. Crab cakes for our appetizer. Caesar salad is recommended. Our entrees were crispy chicken and the pork chop. Everything was delicious!! We didn't do dessert but did order another cocktail and just chilled for nearly 2 hours!!! Thanks for another world class experience.

My husband absolutely loved the crispy skin chicken, and the crème brûlée was a perfect sweet treat to end the night. Lots of parking at this location! However, the reservations are limited as there is not much seating inside.

A memorable dinner with David, (one of the owner's ) waiting on us. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection for each of us in our party. It was accompanied by baked au gratin, melt in your mouth potatoes, asparagus & topped with a delect Bearnaise sauce and a mound of crab. And that is not all, two large shrimp, flavored & poached to perfection 🍤! David recommended a perfect wine pairing,; an Orin Swift. Red blend - Eight Years in the Desert . Our meal was delicious from beginning to end. This restaurant, the owners & staff are on point & doing things right. Oh, did I mention the incredibly-crafted cocktails?!!🍹

Outstanding dining experience from start to finish! Every dish was prepared beautifully and full of flavor. The salmon was cooked perfectly,tender and juicy inside while still nicely done. The clam chowder was rich and comforting, and the pasta with sausage had a pleasant kick of spice that really brought it to life, though the truffle flavor was a bit subtle. Main courses were priced around thirty to forty five dollars, and worth every penny for the quality and taste. Highly recommend!
