What a gem! The place gives off fine dining vibes, yet it was low key at the same time. Cannot say enough good things about the food. Everything on the menu looked good. We ordered clam chowder, pork chop, beet/goat cheese salad. Everything, starting with presentation and ending with flavors, was great! My husband and I enjoyed every bite (we are normally not easily impressed with food). What I found most impressive was the kids menu. Grilled salmon with asparagus and mashed potatoes?! Or filet mignon with broccolini?! It was so refreshing to not find the typical chicken fingers or cheeseburger! My 4 year old was pleased with the choices. For dessert, we ordered flourless chocolate cake and creme brulee - both absolutely delicious. I regret not taking pictures of the food. Everything looked and tasted great!

First time experience for our 4 year anniversary. We were able to get an immediate reservation spot last minute. The entre and dessert was absolutely mouth watering! Portioned well, and cooked to perfection. We were so impressed we made a reservation for the next day! Kudos to the chef and staff! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I am wondering why your restaurant is continuing to state that your Head chef is still Kelly Day when I heard she is no longer working at your restaurant which is unfortunate and why do you still have photos of her on your website?? I find that very weird, I noticed you still have photos of her after doing some research still on your restaurant's Facebook page as well and you update Facebook regularly with other posts I noticed but still haven't updated or taken that stuff down? why's that? :o Who is the actual head chef now and the one who's really been cooking all the food?? for a while now.-- And shouldn't you take her name off your menus since that in fact is no longer the head chef making the food ?

Our group (6 adults) dined here during our visit to Sunriver. The service was amazing! David was very knowledgeable especially about wine. He did a great job and even gave us many recommendations for other places to eat/visit.The food was very good and priced appropriately. The carpaccio and crab cakes were some of our favorites as well as both pastas. We will be back next time we are in town.

Absolutely wonderful dinner. Our waiter was fabulous, all of the food was incredible (duck & pork were phenomenal) .. and desserts were right on too :) .. we had a triple Bday celebration & they made it perfect :) thank you!
My family and I took my Dad out for his 70th birthday and the South Bend Bistro did not disappoint! Our service was incredible, the food was outstanding and even though we had little ones with us who were slightly noisy, everyone treated us with kindness. We love it here and try to come every time we are in Sunriver! Can't wait for next time!

South Bend Bistro is a gem in Sunriver. The food is always excellent and consistent. They are expanding their menu and giving new things a try on Wednesdays. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Outstanding drinks, food, and service as per usual! We always look forward to our date nights at The Bistro. My husband had the lobster and it was divine. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly! We can't wait for our next date night, you guys make it hard to want to go anywhere else!
Incredible Old Fashioned. Wine recommendation was perfect. Such a cool cozy little spot. My wife got the crispy chicken and I got the pork chop dish..absolutely delicious. If this place was actually located in Bend there's no way they'd be able to get away with such a small space.. they would need a WAY bigger spot to accommodate.. and even then it would be packed out every night of the week. Can't wait to come back!

I don't give many reviews but our dining experience at the South Bend Bistro was exceptional. I had the special that night consisting of three lamb chops done perfectly, medium rare with a wonderful Demi glaze, mashed potatoes (substituted) and fresh prepared green beans. My wife ordered the rigatoni as a main dish and it was delicious. We had the clams as an hors d'oeuvre that I would order every night. Colin, our server paired our meal with the perfect bottle of wine. And there you go!

South Bend Bistro once again reminded us why they are our number one choice for dining in Central Oregon. The staff set the bar incredibly high with their impeccable service, attention to detail, and genuine warmth. Culley was not only knowledgeable about the menu, but also passionate in his recommendations. The food itself was nothing short of incredible. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef's skill and creativity. There is not an item on that menu that could ever lead you astray. It's clear that this establishment takes great pride in delivering top-notch service and culinary excellence!

Special menu of Grilled Rack of Lamb Chops with Rioja Fennel Dem-Glace, Goat Cheese Polenta, Asparagus and a Basil and Mint Chiffonade was absolutely delicious and flavors were moan worthy! I hope South Bend Bistro adds this memorable meal to their regular menu. Service is 5-star. I wish they would replace the uncomfortable wood chairs with a more comfortable chair.

I commend David, Cully, and the entire crew at South Bend Bistro. I enjoy eating there regularly. Since I have hearing issues, they always seat me in a location that makes my meal the most pleasurable it can be. They also turn the music down. I can actually understand everything including my companions and the service people. Locals' Night is fantastic. I'll be back and I'll bring others.
