Oh man, what a delight!! The al pastor gordita was out of this world! And 2 for 14? Are you kidding me? Hand made tortillas AND it's a good deal?? I'm going to be dreaming of that deliciousness. I'll be back!

They have a 5.0 with over 70 reviews for a reason. The lady making the food is a sweetheart. The food is authentic but not greasy like a lot or authentic spots. I spent a lot of time in Houston and Houston has some of the best Hispanic food you’ll ever eat. Tablas is right there with the best in Houston.

I ordered the carne asada tacos and a chicken tinga tacos, and they did not disappoint! The carne asada was perfectly marinated and grilled to tender perfection, with a smoky flavor that paired beautifully with the fresh toppings. Each bite was a fiesta in my mouth! The chicken tinga was equally delightful, generously slathered with chicken tinga, cilantro, onion sour cream, and a sprinkle of cotija cheese. What really stood out to me was the authenticity of the food. You can tell the team takes pride in their recipes and ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of food being served. The service was fast and incredibly friendly, making my experience even better. I chatted with the chef while waiting for my food, and he shared his passion for bringing traditional Mexican flavors to the community.
