This is an Indian restaurant that could exist anywhere in the world and make it. I say that as someone who has lived in four countries on three continents. The food is solid and tasty with easy customization of spice level!
I've been eating Taj since they first opened in downtown Bend. Honestly I used to eat there at least once a week for years. They've since moved from downtown, I'm sure it's because Bend has become (🙄😳🤯) hard to afford. I arrived in Bend late (May 28th) and was craving Indian food. I found Taj Palace just 10 minutes from my hotel, and from the moment I walked in, the place had a welcoming vibe. I looked over the menu and ordered the lamb biryani, but mentioned to the server that I actually prefer goat, if available.
