My dinner was not hot at all and when I asked for another potato warn and not hot. I really don't understand why my mail meal is always warm and my dinner plate is cold..

My wife and I have been coming for close to 15 yrs. Used to be our favorite dining experience in Bend. The NW Ribeye and Chicken Marsala use to be to die for. Really the best I’ve ever had. Unfortunately the last year they have become really inconsistent with food quality and service. Disappointing. Hope they can find their quality and consistency again.

Excellent meal and service. Parked in the US bank parking lot a block away. It was closed. Came back to a $41/$78 parking ticket by Diamond parking services . We will never dine or shop Downtown Bend ever again.

I use a more defined rating as I believe there is a very large difference between a 4 and 5 star rating! Similar to magnitude when rating an earthquake. Overall Blacksmith rates a 4.2 star experience, a good experience overall with some room for improvement. The Blacksmith it appears has built the menu to highlight steaks within an Irish pub-like ambiance, cozy to degree. I sat at a high table for two. Comfortable enough with fairly close proximity to other tables in this area (smaller parties of 2.)

The meal started with a Cesar salad, accompanied by three cheese curd, fried on side and softer inside and a cheese infused thin biscuit of sorts. These were more pleasant to view than on palate. Minimal taste, however, they added a bit of crunch to an othwise over-saturated salad. I ate 55% of this mediocre presentation. Less dressing with a side of dressing perhaps and fresher salad would make a positive difference? The old fashion drink was very good, quality bourbon (Buffalo Trace) a nice presentation. The main course the Northwest Ribeye was cooked to order, medium rare with a large portion of garlic mashed potatoes. Only one bite of steak couldn't be chewed, gristle. The au juice/Demi glaze, was dark without a dominant taste. Could be room for improvement here? Potatoes were a bit overwhelming in quantity and the texture was too smooth. Some pieces would add required texture and make them more palatable.

I arrived when they opened so the service was good not impacted by multiple tables and ordered first or nearly. I was disappointed overall as the aesethics really do lend the positive basis for a better meal. The bathroom was clean enough and stocked with the appropriate supplies. KH

This was our first time. Positives first, the restaurant was well staffed, servers were polite and welcoming. The overall steak house low lit vibe was well done. The first thing that went wrong was my blue cheese olives in my martini had little white bacteria growths on them, from too many hands in the jar. Next we sit down and the table is set like a diner. Rolled up cutlery on a white bread plate, nothing else. For the price, where is the lovely set table with cloth/mats and wine glasses? Our server was a pro, but a little robotic. She told us to take our time, then everything felt rushed, she forgot we wanted red wine with the prime rib, so because other people deliver the food we never saw her until it was too late. The prime rib was good, ok, but not great. The soup was very very good! Loved all the ginger. The very young girls that deliver the chefs compliment need to learn how to pronounce bruschetta. :) The highlight was the house made vanilla bean ice ice cream. We will be trying many other places before we return.

75 dollar steak didn’t even come close to meeting the high standard a price like that demands. seems like most of the customers here are ‘regulars’ that get treated better then other customers. won’t be going back , much better steaks around town for the price.

Wait for food after ordering was a bit long, but due to a power outage that was beyond the control of the restaurant. The food was second to none. We had Surf 'n Turf, burger, and Filet Mignons, plus appetizers, drinks and dessert. All of it was fabulous. Two of our party said it was the best burger and Surf 'n Turf they had ever had. We will be back!

Our party of four really enjoyed the food and the space. It was a very busy evening for a Wed!! Packed!!! The food was great for the mostly. Two of us had the pork loin with garlic mashers and the broccoli carrrot slaw. One of the pork loins was very tough and hard to chew. It was cooked med. The other was great and was cooked well. Chicken Marsala and a New York were great dishes as well!! We would go back for sure.

Awesome service and attention to every detail. We had young grandkids with us and they took great effort to make sure they got there food quickly and gave them things to do.

I would definitely recommend the blacksmith. We have been going there pretty much since they opened and they're very consistent. Always great food and have never been disappointed. There's a lot of food choices in Bend, but this is definitely a go to. If you haven't been there it's a must check out. It's great for date night. It's quiet. Also it has bar seating for a quick bite and great drink drinks!!!!

Came here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and we were excited based on the reviews. However, we were there over two hours and waited quite a long time for drinks, appetizers, dinner and the check. There wasn't many people there at first so it was surprising to wait 20 minutes or more for two drinks. We had the tomahawk steak for two and it was okay, everything was cold within a few minutes after it was put on the table. The brussel sprouts were way over fried and soaked in oil that they tasted like charcoal and oil. Sadly the crab corn dog appetizer was the best food, yes, compared to a tomahawk steak! Overall it was really disappointing that we splurged so much money on this dinner and we honestly could have made steaks at home and it would've been better. We will most likely not return for another meal.

This was our third experience dining at Blacksmith and unfortunately it was somewhat disappointing as far as the food goes...and isn't that what we dine out for? Our waitress was sweet and informative as well as attentive so that really wasn't the problem. We ordered two salads...they only brought out one...and once we got our waiters attention, she rectified that. We each ordered a filet cooked medium. Each was served at medium well. We ordered Brussels sprouts...those were not delivered until well after our steaks. We spent nearly $350.00 for a hugely unappealing dinner. We won't be back.

Bend is stop 4 of our vacation. We didn’t have dinner plans and found Blacksmith online. The reservations were full but they were able to squeeze my husband and me in with only a few minute wait, thankfully!

Great atmosphere. It has an upscale feel without the pretentious staff and uncomfortable experience of some high-end restaurants. Everyone we spoke to was incredibly friendly.

My husband really enjoyed his drinks from the bar. He had the Steak and Seafood plate and raved about it. I had the Bacon Bleu Filet and OMG- I think it was the best steak I have ever had. So buttery smooth and juicy. I’ll be dreaming about that sauce for a while. I hope I can find a replica when we get back to Texas. The crème brûlée was also amazing!!

It IS a little in the pricey side, but very much worth it for a special night here and there. HIGHLY recommend!!

The food is amazing. The servers are professional and attentive. The chef provided extra treats since we were celebrating. Highly recommend.
