The service was exceptional, however the quality of the food was not as I was expecting. I wouldn't consider anything tasting bad, but the food left something more to be desired. Our ribeye's were cooked perfectly to our desired temperature (medium rare) but they lacked any carmelization or a good sear, and they didn't have much flavor.

Our server was exceptional so that made for a nice experience. However, we felt the food was mediocre. The crab cakes were delicious but everything else was lackluster. The vibe is dark and can use updating to keep up with the many fantastic dining experiences in this town. We tried this restaurant several years ago and were disappointed. Wanted to give them another shot and won't be going back. This is just two opinions from a couple of self-proclaimed “foodies”. We just feel with the food options in Bend, you have to be at the top of your game. This is too lower tier for the price. All items are in the higher end of the cost spectrum. Happy to pay for quality, this wasn't it.

Our experience was so positively delicious. Our server, Angie, was exceptional. The crab Mac and cheese was very rich—my husband practically licked the bowl! The tuna poke was also very good and the portions were generous. I split a burger with my husband and it was served with loads of fries. Anyway, I could rave on and on about how good everything was. We are having a rehearsal dinner there in June. My son and his fiancée approved of the private dining area that we will be using. It's all good!

I had the crab Mac & Cheese. It was okay. Not enough cheese. Kinda dry. Came in a soup bowl with a little plate underneath. Could have been plated better. The beet salad was good but unfortunately they pre peppered the salad and I felt like it was too much. The service was outstanding and we had a good time.

The best martinis in bend! Try the Thai One On. Ivy is our favorite server and suggested it. I can only order that now when we go. We also loved the fried polenta croutons on their ceaser, the homemade green peppercorn Demi for the steak, and their homemade desserts. You can't go wrong!

Date night with my partner. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I ordered the prime rib and was disappointed by the lack of seasoning. My partners ribeye was mainly fatty and the Mac and cheese also lacked seasoning. $170 to experience blandness was seems like typical Bend. I guess pepper would have been too spicy for some people here.

Nice atmosphere, but the food was underwhelming. We ordered the tomahawk steak for two. Not an inexpensive cut, but it was small and kind of boring. The steak came with a baked potato and we ordered the broccolini. The potatoes were undercooked . The broccolini was tough. All of the food was a bit cold as well. The bread was a bit stale and the dipping sauce that came with the bread was not anything special. Very Mid overall. Disappointed. It was my birthday and I was hoping for more. Probably won't go back anytime soon. Overall we would have been disappointed even if the food was half the price, but at the prices they are charging it was almost insulting.

Hello my name is Jackson, I am 12 years old, and I ate at The Blacksmith tonight. It was one of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time and the food is absolutely impeccable! I had a simple steak and fries and it was the best steak I have ever had. The fries were also really good and the sauce was a nice touch. The service was really quick and the place looks absolutely amazing. The service is very nice and I had an amazing experience 5 stars!

Food is good... portions should be bigger for what you pay. Never my "go to" place. I did get to watch the server set the curtains on fire when making bananas foster!! I remember that show more than the food!!

Wow! What an amazing dinner! My husband and I were gifted this experience by a friend and decided to have a much needed date night. We have heard so many great things about Blacksmith and we're so excited to try it. The food was phenomenal! Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The drinks were fabulous. I would love to buy a whole bottle of the vinaigrette that's brought out with the bread. Everything was absolutely wonderful. Our server was fantastic. He didn't hover, he didn't stay away too long and provided over-all excellent service. We will definitely be coming back soon.

I had THE most delicious birthday dinner I could ever ask for! We ordered the cheese plate for an appetizer and was not disappointed to say the very least. All of the cheese was so fresh and full of flavor! And the bread was some of the best I've had with a dinner since moving out West. It was so fluffy and baked to perfection. I ordered the lasagna for my entree and the portion was big enough for 2! It had the right amount of cheeses, sauce, and meats to ensure you get everything in each bite! For the dessert, I couldn't help but order the crème brûlée and oh my goodness, it was the best thing I've ever tasted! So light and rich in flavor. It was made with the utmost love and care. Thank you to the Blacksmith for such a lovely evening with friends!

Nice place, nice atmosphere with great service but unfortunately came across a little rudeness from the reservation lady. I called ahead to see if I needed a reservation or if we could just walk in. The earliest reservation was 9:30pm so that didn’t work for us. I asked her if she thought it would be pretty busy around 6pm to possibly sit at the bar or lounge and she told me “I’m not a psychic”. I brushed it off and we came down anyways but was definitely taken back by that comment.

The ambience and service was excellent. The Kobe Fillet was tough and dry. With this level or type of beef/cut, I expected it to be extremely tender and moist, neither was present.
