Sparrow Bakery is super, enjoyed them in 2007 and now in 2025. Thanks for everyone's hard work and consistent quality. Had the breakfast sandwich and a Mocha, super Yummy.

The Ocean Roll (vanilla & cardamom roll) is as good as they say! We also tried the ham & gruyere croissant, chocolate croissant, and cinnamon knot. All were huge & delicious!

My 2nd time in Bend and this place is a must! The food is so good and the treats even better. This time I got the lemon tart, but last time I got the chocolate caramel one and it has lived on in my memory ever since. I want to try their drinks soon as well. The coffee is strong and flavorful. 10 out of 10

Check your takeout order before you leave, because it will never have everything you ordered. And the window staff will give you major attitude if you have the audacity to ask for what you paid for. I used to really like this place, but every time I go now they never get my order right. Last time they didn't give me the pastries I ordered, only the hot sandwiches. This time it was the extra egg I had ordered in the sandwich. I got receipts both times and they charged me for everything every time, so I do not understand why the staff isn't capable of filling the orders properly.

Sparrow is one of the best bakeries in Bend, OR. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are tasty. Wide selection of muffins, cookies and other tasty pastries. They also have coffee baristas to make your favorite drinks. Despite being busy all the time, service is outstanding. I was especially pleased to talk to one of the cooks (KYLE) who was so helpful with explaining the hot food options.

As a delivery driver, this is one of the worst pickup locations in bend. Service is incredibly slow, and the only way to get the service is basically jump in front of the people in the express line. Even then, you are still looking at a 10 to 15 minute. wait on weekends, dspite the fact that you drove fifteen minutes up mount washington to get there. The couple times I have had the food, the flavor wasn't bad but it wasn't anything extraordinary.

Good food! Depending on when you go there, prepare to wait in line. Finding a table may be hard too at times. But the food and atmosphere is worth the wait.

Worth the wait in line! All of the food was great but we especially loved the poppy seed bagel, ham and guyere croissant, and beignets.

Love, love, love this place! The food is always excellent and the bakery treats are delectable. They make wonderful beverages, too. We often come for a fancy coffee and a sweet treat, but our most recent visit was for a late lunch. The helpings are large; a to-go box was needed for both of us.
We visit whenever we're in town, although we'll make the drive for that perfect coffee and pastry combination.

Every time we come to Bend, we always have to go to Sparrow. Their pastries are fresh and delicious, their breakfast sandwiches are to die for, and their bread selection is always the perfect dinner side!
Be prepared to wait as it’s busy every time we go (for a reason). It’s absolutely worth the wait!!

Honestly a bit disappointing given all the reviews and hype. I'm a croissant snob and their croissant was really dense and lacked the buttery layers you'd expect. The ocean roll was also average and not as unique as everyone says it is. I think if you're a picky pastry person, skip this place.

The food is as good as they say it is, the ocean roll and coffee are really great, and the breakfast sandwich with arugula aioli is almost an experience on par with eating mac and cheese for the first time. Service is astoundingly fast for how much business and orders they take, went on a Saturday morning during a concert series and this place was pumping stuff out. Phenomenal. This place has a great look, and is great to meet up with friends or family, and there are dogs all around the place if you enjoy the puppy pals.
