Enjoyed having different than the typical flavor/menu options. There were still plenty of common/favorites available. Clean and open seating area with plenty of natural light.

Absolutely delicious croissant breakfast sandwich. I was not a huge fan of the mocha I ordered but my food was so fresh and delightful. The staff that helped me were also super friendly. I will say that the toilet in their restroom was about to fall off it's bolts though!

Great place for pastries. I would not recommend the Croque Monsieur - it's overpoweringly rich and fatty. Needs something to break it up like acid and freshness (e.g. leafy greens or herbs).

Such a nice breakfast spot! Loved the cardamom latte and the croissant was so fresh.

Normally, I absolutely love sparrow bakery. However, the ham thyme and gruyere croissants from today were maybe 2/3rds the normal size... it is sad there is shrinkflation even at a local bakery.

This buzzing bakery is clearly a local favorite. We came in mid-morning for coffee and a pastry and the place was packed and vibing with conversation.Staff were efficient and the line moved quickly. Our coffee was well made and the pastries were delicious! We didn't have to wait long for a place to sit, but I could imagine that there are times when it would be difficult.Parking was easy to find and this new-looking neighborhood shopping area would be a fun place to look around.

This place was awesome. They desserts were all delicious especially the raspberry tart and bread pudding (I don't even like bread pudding.) Their coffee was also very good and they had milk alternatives. Came here for b'day bday treats and they did. Kor disappoint. Would rather say this was a good experience, as it used to be such a treat to go to the cute and sweet old Sparrow Bakery location and have an ocean roll. What has happened to these delightful treats? Once they were layered and moist, with lots of sugary cardamom. Such a joy to unroll these all the way to the lovely, moist center. The roll I had last two tries was dry with almost undetectable cardomom. My friend, who is a baker and shared it with me said, with sadness in her eyes, what has happened to the ocean roll? It was so dry and flavorless we left most of it on the plate to throw out. At the center there was just more dryness. Used to be the best pastry treat around.I tried the croque monsieur as well. A thin slice of ham and the wrong kind of cheese on limp, barely browned bread, and once again just about flavorless. Not a croque monsieur by any stretch of the imagination. So what happens when a bakery gets so popular and moves to a large, loud, chaotic, impersonal space, it seems the baking love goes away. Perhaps there is a baker there who still brings it, but not on the days I have tried items from the menu. As another reviewer said Sparrow Bakery wouldn’t make it Portland. Used to be pretty darn good before it became the “it” bakery. Now definitely not a place to spend my time or money. Bring back the love!

So bummed! I’ve been a diehard customer since the inception of sparrow, and even worked across the street.Issue one) today my prized treat, the non bacon breakfast sandwich was served to me as a joke. For 15 dollars they had the smallest brick hard egg in the middle. They must have poached the egg for 10 minuets, I have no idea how this came out of the kitchen….I don’t mind paying the 15 dollars for a breakfast sandwich but c Mon guys, I would never let something go out of my kitchen like that.I also think we’re at the point where sparrow should enforce people not lounging on laptops. Consistently there is no places to sit and usually a few tables are on laptops. Given this is a relatively busy restaurant I think it would be good to give some priority to the people who want to eat.Ocean roll was still great! Hope you guys can get back to where sparrow should be.
