If you're in Bend or just passing through it's worth the effort to find this place! The tasting room is cozy and has a great vibe, the staff are friendly and cool, nice food trucks and of course fantastic beer. The focus on authentic German style lagers is a welcome departure from the typical PNW fare and the brewer nailed it, the Helles is super clear and crisp.
I moved to Bend in the summer of 2011. That means I’m almost a local. As an almost local, I place Van Henion’s “Helles Lager” and “Schwarzbier” in my Top 10 of Bend beers in that time period. There’s a lot of good company there. The brewery is an awesome spot, with plenty of seating and a couple of great food trucks. Stop by and enjoy!
This place is awesome. Very chill and mellow. Great AC! The IPA is delicious. Love that they have full and short pints. The pizza food cart is 🤤, got the Rusty mule Detroit style. I do not regret this decision. Dog friendly outside.
