We tried this bakery while passing through Bend on a road trip. The pastries were pretty solid but nothing outstanding. The sandwiches were just okay, and somewhat disappointing. The bread wasn't remarkable either. Honestly surprised this place is so highly rated, maybe we ordered the wrong things. Unlikely to return.
My daughter and I used to come here once a week before school and get ham and cheese croissants. My husband and I used to come here and order sandwiches to take to our favorite fishing hole. I used to stop by to get some special treats in the morning as a surprise for my family. No longer after today. I ordered a sandwich and they made a mistake. we love the village bakery and the two onion sandwich. It’s a weekly event for us. Love that spread on it and it’s not a sloppy sandwich. People at the front desk have become more friendly, which is a nice plus and there is consistent as anything and QUICK on making the sandwiches. This is a gem. We love in the Bend area
