Ordered the blackened redfish and the shrimp and crawfish jambalaya - both dishes had outstanding flavor. The carrot cake is as good as everyone claims it to be!
Everything was excellent. High quality food and cocktails. One of the best meals I've had. Loved the bbq shrimp and smoked trout appetizers.I never eat pork but ordered the porkchop based on the waitress recommendation and it was phenomenal. Also really enjoyed the fish.The staff were kind and attentive.Only con is the acoustics as the room can get pretty noisy.Highly recommend and will to return on my next trip to Bend.

2024 updated review: I don’t even bother going to Zydeco anymore because the only thing that changes on the menu outside the seasonal options are the prices, which only go up. I have lived in Bend for nearly 15 years and I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of longterm changes I’ve seen on the Zydeco menu. It’s unfortunate that this kitchen isn’t more experimental in a frequent basis, because you can only go for the delicious shrimp sauce so many times before the flavor novelty loses its shine. I hope the owners and management can take this very observable culinary rut into consideration.2018 review: Hands down my favorite nicer place to eat in Bend. Everything is absolutely delicious, great cocktails (try the Hurricane), and a nice atmosphere.

This place seems to be a real mainstay of the downtown Bend restaurant scene. Rich atmosphere. Busy and buzzing. Though we each felt the food was a bit less than what it could’ve been. The stand out was the pork chop. Rich smoky flavor. But even the side it came with was a bit syrupy/vinegar/cloying and one note. The pimento cheese didn’t do the burger any favors. And the broth of my bouillabaisse was more spaghetti sauce than the rich, buttery broth I hoped for. Fortunately many more places to explore in this hopping town!

Enjoyed a wonderful trifecta of appetizer specials while at Zydeco Kitchen & Cocktails. The server behind the bar was so friendly and accommodating. My wife and I have been here before and loved it. We are back in Bend for the weekend and decided to come back. Highly recommend the Hurricane, they have a frozen one in the summer. Being from Texas, I can say the baby back ribs are phenomenal; fall off the bone, hot and fresh. We love this place.
