Very quaint and cute little house turn into a restaurant. Very popular, super crowded, but it didn't take away from the quality of the food or the people there. The food was absolutely amazing. Definitely try this place when you're in Brookings!

Dining room was cramped especially during brunch rush. The line to order, those waiting to pick up their order were also cramped as there is very little room for those waiting to pick up their order and even less room for those ordering or waiting to order. The only place to order is at the counter and there are no menus to view if you are in line unless you are at the counter.
There were two people ahead of me that ordered together and because there is no menu to view ahead of time, a lot of extra time is spent at the register. When I got to the counter ready to place my order, instead of being greeted by the person at the register, I was asked if I was ordering food and if so, the wait would be 45 minutes to receive it.
Instead of ordering at that time, I joined my friend at the table she was at located in the far back corner, that did not allow the chairs to move without bumping into the wall or a chair at another table. I ended up ordering a coffee cake muffin that was described as having streusel on top. The quality of the muffin was no different than that of one that was store-bought.
My experience was beyond disappointing for all the reasons listed above, but also because I had hoped to order some their macarons I received as a gift from a friend and I wasn't able to do that during my visit either.

The chocolate cream pie is good!
Sourdough bread, eggs, with bacon and sausage is great! They make sure to ask how you want your eggs.
And finally... They have matcha latte! And you can specify amount of syrup as well as type of milk.
Very friendly staff, cute interior. Bathroom clean and accessible. Affordable prices too.
Weekdays 8:30am is when the rush starts to come in, so if you want to go earlier than that, no lines :)
Definitely recommend for breakfast/food/lunch/drinks in the area :)

Recommend the breakfast sandwich and had an amazing apple strudel to go with my quad shot mocha! Really nice, though quaint, dining area with lots of cool stuff on the walls. It's a very popular place so you may have a wait. Recommend!
