The Combo is the most difficult too pull off. Monday evening I enjoyed the best fried oysters I've had in Oregon or Norcal; squid was also tender and juicy; cod, clams and fries are always good here. So stoked!! Nowadays, most restaurants are mediocre at best. Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I were in Brookings on business. Decided to go to Hungry Clam for lunch. Walk in and order without issue, though the staff member is less than excited to see us. No biggie though. Then the music got LOUDER and LOUDER. The cook (male) then starting singing along. Like very loudly. To Brittany spears and like female vocalist songs. Owell I thought, as uncomfortable as this is I'll just sit here and wait for our meal and we'll go. It should be noted that we were not the only ones in there. Then I got a really important call that I couldn't ignore. I answered the call and sort of looked in the direction of the kitchen. I thought if I could get the cook to see me on-the phone maybe he would have mercy and quiet down. But no. He looked right at me and began singing even LOUDER and turned UP the music. I eneded up walking outside to take the call. My wife came out with the meal. Which was mediocre at best. Chowder was lukewarm and the fish chunks for the fish n chips were rubbery and soft. It wasn't terrible but not what I remember this place being like. I think if you want a career in singing that's great but it shouldn't be where your forcing an entire restaurant to hear your chops. Hopefully the cook makes his debut on AGT someday but for now please focus on the task at hand.

This is handsdown the best seafood restaurant I've been to on the Oregon coast. We tried the combo seafood basket (calamari, halibut, razor clams, shrimp, and oysters) with fries/coleslaw, everything was lightly battered, lightly seasoned, then tossed in with a slight twist of lemon. The crab melt was amazing, where not the dairy but the crab was the leading ingredient of this toasted sandwich. Above all else the clam chowder is the best clam chowder I've ever found in Oregon. In this clam chowder you can taste every ingredient since no ingredient is over powering each other, the potatoe is perfectly (not overly) cooked, and the clams are still tender/sweet. This is the only place I've found with 10/10 clam chowder. Also, while we didn't try it, their chicken tenders are highly regarded by the locals.
Bonus, the staff and locals were genuinely warm people, they seemed to want a positive experience, only adding kindness to ours. Needless to say we will be coming back and recommending this restaurant to everyone we know.

I give my meal a 4 because it appeared to be made with imitation crab although I was told it was fresh frozen. Bummed but the crab cakes were still delicious with the perfect amount of crisp. My uncle and cousin loved their meals!

Best crab sandwich I've had. So buttery. The crab meat tasted so fresh. The price was pretty steep, but it did have a lot of crab on the sandwich. I can't wait to try more of the menu!
