On the day we went, Saturday evening they were short on staff and could only offer the bar menu. We had four fried chicken and Belgian waffle w/pub fries. OUTSTANDING!!! The seasonings were delicious. Check out the ingredients on the menu. For desert we had the Bourbon, bacon milkshake. I recommend desert first and have two!!! Responsibly of course.
The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly.
We will go back in the future to try the full menu. We also appreciated the late night accommodations.

We stopped by Oxenfre Pub on our road trip. It was already 8.30pm and everywhere else was closed or about to close, so this was our only option. Thankfully, Oxenfre was happy to cook us food (which was very tasty, & with quick and friendly service), which we greatly appreciated after a long day on the road. It is obviously a local go-to pub, as, while it wasn't full, was buzzing for karaoke night. The music was loud, but we enjoyed the fun atmosphere of the usual wildly varied quality of singing that comes with karaoke (one guy had an incredible voice!). They have pool tables, sofa chairs, & bar stools at high tables. I can imagine frequenting this pub if we lived in Brookings! I don't have photos to post as it was pretty dark in there- too dark for photos.
This is located in the middle of a very cool little strip of restaurants and bars. But this was a favorite of mine. I recommend getting the "Fresh Squeezed Margs", but if not, they had a pretty eclectic assortment of beers also.

Oxenfrē Public House in Brookings, Oregon is easily the best and nicest bar in Brookings (which is funny because when they took it over it was an old, seedy dive bar upon which they worked wonders and miracles).Oxenfrē has a great drink menu and they are super mindful to details. The Ox hearkens to the bygone days of the Prohibition Era speakeasy. It's a moody, hip establishment, open only in the evenings "'til late," with regular, live-entertainment via local and non-local bands. Yes, they have a stage. Also pool tables. And great food! It's a small menu, but absolutely worth your time! You must try their Poutine, their mouth-watering burgers, and if you're feeling extra adventurous, their Bacon Bourbon Milkshakes!I own and operate Hurry In Curry Delivery Service here in Brookings and we used to do all sorts of food deliveries from Oxenfrē. Sadly, we haven't seen them in quite some time (ever since they switched to the limited menu). However, they still have great food that is definitely worth the delivery fee to have it delivered.Call Hurry In Curry if you want Oxenfrē Public House delivered!

This is a bar/pub. Music was playing, not too loud, though, and we could carry on a conversation. Had to go to the bar to order, although there was one other table. I had a buger. It was delicious. The fries were nice and crispy, although my friend said too salty. We got Buffalo wings. They were very tasty. Had a nice sauce and slightly crispy. My friend had street tacos. They were good. We had no problems finding a table and food came out fairly quick.
